Full Time Mermaid

I'm always impressed as well, that's so much stuff. Way to go.

So I have been off most of this week thanks to a snow storm that shut the city down, and dental surgery. I am healing up fine but taking the time to organize a bunch of things and book us public events!

So on the burner I've got:
-2 new vlogs being fleshed out- as soon as my mouth feels better I'll record them
-a new video series called "Secret Diary of a mermaid" a fictional youtube show

The mers and I are booking up loads for the spring and summer so far on the list outside of the normal private events we've got
- a family swim event for a local TV station in two weeks, just the usual entertaining but some TV coverage of it and magazine. Will be fin.
-Spring Break educational week at local museum. I'll have a touch tank of critters and loads of fun resources and mini workshops for the kids. 10 day contact, so crazy
-two library bookings, one for me one for mutiny- hers will be at a brand new beautiful library
-volunteering for a 4th year in a row for the make a wish princess tea party. can't wait, always so cute.
-World Ocean's day
-Hosting merman christian!
-Canada Day annual public event
-Tallahassee days (basically a big fun pirate event)
-and the wildlife rescue program's annual open house

Got a few more things I am juggling around trying to see about and others that will confirm closer to. Hoping to land the summer camp gig again what a splash that was.



I've picked up subbing full time for the month of Feb so I am hoping it'll be enough to help me pay off my credit card. If I do that I may get to go to Florida visit Raven and others!

That Maritime Museum event sounds like so. much. fun! I would totally go if it wasn't in another country... and if it wouldn't be really awkward for me to be there as a grown-ass woman with no kids... but yay!

I hope you get to visit Raven! It's so cool to see the two of you evolve side by side - you as a performer, her as a tailmaker/performer - and it seems like magic always happens whenever you cross paths IRL.

Very excited to say we're in the process of training up Mermaid Victoria. (see her on facebook here https://www.facebook.com/mermaidvictoria ) Victoria works for Shore Things- the store where we sell our merch in the tourist season. She makes her own fabric tails and they're really pretty. But she also borrows my mermaid creations tail while she is figuring out the best method for her own. Here's some pics of Victoria in her tails:

We are also in the process of auditioning a merman who is both an actor and a lifeguard. He'll likely use the mermaid creations tail too.

Merman Christian is coming to visit us in July and we're already booking him for events

Oh yes and I got some braces on Friday.Uggh it's annoying haha. Still getting used to it.

I also just gave a huge interview to The Globe and Mail (Canada's biggest paper) that should be published this week, really exciting.


On the more random note, I joined a rock band as lead singer and I am having so much fun

Sephina is coming to visit on Friday evening. So that should be fun too. Getting together for a swim

Weather depending we have a big all day gig on Monday. But it's been super stormy every week. THere's a snow drift in front of my door bigger than I am...

Proud to announce that Seanny has picked up enough contract work that I'll be returning to 100% full time mermaiding in a month or so. However, I may decide to renew my contract for one more term in the fall. I have big plans and extra money (plus the insurance I get) would be a big help. I'll explain soon
