    Onward!

Thanks! Our band page, Neptune's Keep, doubles as our mermaid fan page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Neptu...07121702667149 I've got it linked also to our Twitter account @VeryFishy Band.

I've liked your page, as well. It's really fun discovering pages by my mer colleagues! I love all your costumes, especially the steampunk. Always wanted to perform at a steampunk con. I made my living as a Victorian era Punch and Judy Professor (puppeteer) for 25 years, and I really dig the Steampunk Victorian universe.

Wonderful! I'll post something about your page tomorrow.

YAY! The video of me being serenaded by the band Shannachie has now been uploaded for all to see.

I had no idea that the band was going to come out onto the rocks and sing to me. In the video you can see me ask my Captain if he had anything to do with it. He said he didn't. I'm not sure I believe him. LOL

Not sure why they keep referring to me as Ariel. I not once said that I was "Ariel". I get that a lot. Must be the hair.

They said that the video is a little bit glitchy at the beginning but it does clear up. Enjoy!

Sorry, I'm not sure how to get an FB video up over here.

So..... I'm posting these here because this tail was my inspiration. These are also destined to be yours so I'm going to call them a birthday present. PM me an address to send them to?

So, I definitely just read the first three pages of this thread entirely with a rushed voice because I felt like I was in one of those mystery books: "Will she finish the tail before time runs out?", "What is something goes wrong in the sewing process?", "Will the event really be cancelled?", "Tune in the page 4 to read the exciting end to this marvelous tale!". I LOVE the little white rhinestones on your fluke!
All that glitters is not gold,
Not all who wander are lost.
The old that is strong does not whither,
Deep roots are not touched by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be broken,
A light from the shadows shall spring.
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

Another 4th of July is upon me, the people from the lighthouse requested us to return this year aaaaaand they decided to add a second day to their event
(last year it was only a one day event so I only needed the one tail)

    ....soooooo guess what I'm doing....last second.....again! LOL

At least I have a little bit more time this time around!

I just got back from the fabric store and bought a bunch of material for a second tail. It's not going to be quite as elaborate as the 4th of July / Independence Tail (although I did say that about that tail too!) so my game plan is the 4th of July tail on Saturday and a simpler one on Sunday. I'm thinking of a blue/turquoise tail with a white sash, red rhinestone star top (it's actually my other Jem bra) and my hair will be up in ponytails with red sparkle yarn falls and a white sparkly flower with blue ribbons at the base of each pony tail.

    Sound simple enough, right? RIGHT!?!

    Oye...
