    Choosing Tail Color(s)

I’ve been trying to decide what colors I want my tail to be when I finally get it, but that’s proving to be more difficult than I thought. I know that I want the tail to have now fns except for some to disguise my heels. I have several color ideas floating around my mind and I thought I’d get some input. One is just an ordinary splash pattern tail. The second one is a blue and silver splash patterned tail; this one would be silver where the yellow would normally be and royal blue where the orange would normally be. The third is a blue and yellow splash patterned tail; on this tail the yellow would remain the same, but instead of orange it would be royal blue.

Shameless thread linking to follow: in the name of keeping threads down to as few as possible, I thought I might suggest that you collect images of these colour schemes and post them in the thread I started a while back here:

It can be hard to imagine colours without an example to go with them - I know it'd be helpful for me, at least!

Sketch them out. Print out a tail templates, get some colored pencils and start putting combinations together. I sketch 33 tails before the last one I sketched ended up being my favorite. I am now sketching out 2 more and having to decided between those for my next tail!!!

I plan on sketching them out, but I can’t find any good templates. Does anybody have a link to a good one?

Merbellas, Finfolk and Jazz all have templates, and they're not all the same types of fish tails either.

Choosing a color scheme can be hard. I too am having a tough time deciding what to do but I'm not stressing because I just started saving money for my silicone tail.

Size: 33.9 KB I can't decide if I want the front and back to look like this...with the pink fading into the white. Or if I want the back to be all pink with no white. Or if I want the tail to be all white except for yellow on the fluke with orange ribs.

What if you did white on the front but solid pink in the back, and then had "bubbles" of white near and around your hips? Mine has the same effect except with green, to replicate the shell pattern of the Peacock Mantis Shrimp.

You can kind of see what I mean, the darker green spots on the sides. Could be really cool around the back in white on top of solid pink, and then they could sort of blend into the white at the front.

The bubbles would be an awesome addition I'm sure. I'm just not sure how far away from my inspiration I wanna stray. My inspiration is the plumeria flower...the gulf stream or the classic white.
