and of course, right before bedtime, so I'll have nightmares.
the text reads:
"Giant shark and kalmar dissected alive. These monsters are true nightmares!"
I don't even.

this image is viral and used for a lot of news about shark finning but usually out of context from the actual incident. I've seen it for years now on the anti shark finning facebooks.
Either way, not cool. but yeah it's used a lot
Another English Article: http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headline...to-drive-home/
From another article I found:
'I asked the fish market officials that monitor this sort of thing, and they said that as it was already dead when we caught it and as it was there we may as well sell it.'
Regulations in the country state if a whale shark is caught, they must immediately be set free. The creatures can live up to 100 years.
Not sure how true that is
poor shark!
I'll be a Finfolk Mersister in January!
Whale sharks are filter feeders so you have no reason to worry... (Ebola isn't going to wipe us out here in the first world, either...)
Personally they're one of my favorite animals and this one was just gorgeous. What a tragedy that it died. Humans suck.
so the same image has been used for various articles, each of which says a different thing?
Weird.
Still looks a lot to me like this one has been caught on purpose, which wouldn't surprise me if it happened in Asia.
Reminds me of why I left China even though I loved living there.
I wonder what they're going to feed their billions of people once the oceans are empty.
(Goes for all countries really; my bet is on human corpses )
Well they've been feeding them pork labeled as beef, and they've found a way to create fake cabbage (I landed on the weird side of YouTube). There's still some farmland left so it'll probably a mix of fake food and actual food.
The SeaGlass Siren
The official article says already dead and he got legal permission to take it. Still sad but not as bad
Not as bad. But still pretty wicked - and I do NOT mean in a good way. If those are the regulations I would seriously start posting about it on Facebook - got to do some research on that later.
