    Male aquatic spirits are in fact squid. You can wonderfully see the outline of a giant squid on the "monkfish", even the eyes and the head, it's all there.

    That explains so much, and why I'm constantly meeting giant squid in my dreams even though I'm afraid of them lol.

    When Disney's Little Mermaid came out, I was all, "How can they make a movie out of such a sad story? She turns into seafoam in the end!" Of course, that was before I saw it.

    Nice article! It was a good read, and funny too! I really liked the bit about the "clergy fish" squids - that's both funny and adorable! Imagine them bringing a squid up to the King, and he just looks at it and deems that we should release this tiny merman back into the wild out of kindness

    That's really cool! I have never heard of Ea before. I also liked the funny bits. Loving history it is interesting to see more background.
