Just a fun thing to pass the time while I'm waiting for the tail! Here is my tail template, based after a lionfish. Feel free to add fins, re-color, mess with it! Curious to see everyone's take on my pattern

Thanks Shimmer! I'm really excited about the tendrils on the back coming off the ankle fins I've been messing with it a bit more since I wasn't crazy about the two full back stripes, and I added a little more lavender and fire red. here's the update:

i might take you up on that. I cant draw to save my life and all the attempts i have done to do my design i haven't got far.

How do you even go about designing something like this? I can't even draw stick figure!

Sonnet I look up reference pictures and color palettes, then experiment with color placement and markings until I get what I want. This is design attempt #16 you just have to be persistent
