Merfest for Mer's of Australia!
We have been discussing on Facebook that we all should pick a date for next Jan 2016 and all meet up for a long weekend! Mizuko suggested the Mariot hotel on the Gold Coast because it has an artificial reef in their salt water pool!
Its certainly do able for my family if I start saving now! But we need to lock in dates
Or maybe we could all go to Bali? Lol

Marriot is nice. I googled it. Has affordable rates too for singles! So I'm in!
My weekends are usually set just for me time. So any long or regular weekend, I'm cool with it.

I would be happy to ask, though it may have to wait until the weekend if that's alright? It's about an hour drive from where I live at the moment, though I'm going to be moving soon even then it will still be about an hours drive haha. That way we can also see if there are any other questions you'd like me to ask. Or I could just call them on the phone... that works too.

Yay! That's a week before my birthday! I don't expect pressies but just the opportunity to meet all the mers would be a fantastic present!
I may need a ride from the airport to hotel. I'll have check if there are shuttle buses to the hotel, but if that's the case, who can pick me up then?
For those of us, taking plane rides, maybe we can book the same flight or have our flights so that we arrive around the same time. We can go to the hotel together, I'll pay for my share of cab fare, or put in for petrol if you're hiring a car...

I think if we just keep it simple as in stay for the weekend, meet up, swim, chat, dinner, photoshoot, swim and chat some more?
ok let's all decide on dates so we can book our rooms in advance because I'm sure that time of year it will book quickly!
Would love too but have no money to book or do anything yet! Also have no tail and wont have the cash for a silicone tail yet don't even have a flipper yet as can't afford it! But would love to go! Ugh damn it! Am also trying to set up a Jewellery Making business online but no mermaid stuff yet! Hopefully I can still show it off here? But hopefully I can do it as I would so love too but then there goes my savings towards a tail when I can get them too ugh damn it! Sounds like so much fun!
Well you can just save up to come along and food stuff. I can bring a spare fabric tail or two and a spare fin. Don't know which spare fin yet, most likely the foil, which I am receiving soon. I got a S size foil, fits ladies shoe size 6-9.

I can't book mine just yet. My cousin's wedding takes precedence over this. And he's not set a date, all we were told was, "Sometime in 2015".

lol @Jaffa at least I have a decent if loud singing voice lol if I can convince people its okay to go to something with people I don't know in person! Sigh arguement so far is its in a hotel in a public place will have our own rooms no need to say if we share lol and that its for 2 days for a mer fest and it could be a new chance for me to make friends with people who share the same interests as me
Okay so after a bunch of tries (I've figured out that my phone microphone isn't working) I managed to get hold of the place. The lady I spoke to said there should be no problem at all with us taking tails out onto the artificial reef there (though I did forget to ask about the pool sorry) and that it's open from 6am to 10pm so woo hoo night swims!
