    Thank you for sharing this crazy journey with me! You all were epicly awesome and so supportive. I will definitely get pics at the event on Sunday to show everyone as soon as possible.

    I still need to work on the top but my tail skirt really needs some small repairs, so I think that's more important at the moment.

    Hubby and I just spent the last 30 minutes going threw accessories and this is what we came up with.


    He thinks I should add 2mm clear rhinestones to the blue flower hair piece but I'm not sure I want to do that. If I had the aqua color in 2mm size sure maybe but I don't think I really dig the clear ones.

    Let's see the retro white purse was a recent find at the Garment District. Then there's a blue flower fabric hair clip, blue stones bracelet, 2 pearl bracelets, a pair of rhinestone starfish earrings, one of my grandmother's old necklaces and a shell hair clip that one of my pirate friends made for me.

    Thanks! We're just trying to figure out what to do with my hair. It's going to be hot and humid, the event is at a lighthouse by the ocean and my hair is dyed red. Granted I use a stain now, it still does a slight run when wet. Also I have natural curly hair that I straighten and anyone that has natural curly hair knows just what I'm dreading. SO yeah, not sure what to do under those conditions at the moment and I'm definitely not wearing my yarn falls. Way too hot for that!

    Thought I would pop in before running off to work to post progress pics of the top. Since I don't think that anyone is really going to show up at work due to it being the 4th, I'm going to bring the top to work with me to work on. Shhhh.... ;p


    For the hair, we've decided that I'll do a 'Rosie' kind of look. Barrel curl bangs, high pony tail curled. We figure with a white hair band, the blue flower and my red hair it will look nice.

    Also I'm trying to decide what color my nails should be. Aqua blue, red or white?

    Ok gotta run off to work now.

    There is currently a cruel joke going around right now that people shouldn't be surprised if the event gets canceled due to the impending weather. I've been watching the weather for the weekend and it's been saying that Sunday is suppose to be sunny with some clouds and in the 80's, so fins crossed!

    IF it does get canceled *grinds teeth at the thought of it* I do plan on doing a quick photo shoot with everything just in case. I refuse to go threw all of this for nothing.

    Back to sewing at work! This place is dead! Ugh.
