Argh this is really tempting... If only someone in the us can send it to europe.. My tail is already looking like crap after few gigs and I'm really depressed about it :/ I don't think it can survive to 2015

Yah, really poor quality. I have done touch ups two times now, fixing small tears and painting to hide imperfections, the paint just comes off.. But atleast it's fixable with lil effort. Handy mermaid :P
I thought about selling it once but I don't think it's possible

Well, this is very revealing about Eric caring for the quality of his tails... I'm sorry to hear that, Riiarin, I really hope it can last for more than 2015.

I was thinking that I don't need someone to place a bid for me but just someone who can receive the tail and then ship it to me if possible so things in this way would be easier and there won't be any "money trip" , I don't know if you get what I mean.

I would be happy to go as a middle man if you get permission from the seller first. As in you email the seller & ask if that would be ok, bid & pay for it to be shipped to me in Texas. Once I get it I can take it to my UPS store (who I have a good relationship with lol) & get a quote on how much it would be to send to you & once that amount gets sent via paypal I will ship off.



Not really a huge amount of hassle but requires some trust on your part along with the extra $$$ shipping. I am always looking to rack up some good karma.

Actually it looks like the tail is in Ohio which is closer to NJ? I think what the more important thing would be to see if it's cheaper to ship to Europe from NJ or Texas?

How can we figure out how much shipping to Europe would be? At this point I'm thinking it's Pearlie who will get the cheaper option; my UPS peeps like me but I don't have a corporate acct.

Well, I've put in a request for a quote from international shippers (Fed Ex doesn't go there, evidently) and should hear back soon...I hope. (EDIT: I jumped the gun and asked for quotes to Finland...I don't know where Kassandra is - that may change things. Where ARE you, anyway?)

I've also put the question to my warehouse manager, but he doesn't know if he'll be able to get me an answer before the end of the day...so I may not know until Monday. So it's the waiting game for a while.

I would be curious as well. The owner of this tail is sneaky because my guts tell me that she's using the pictures that MVD took when the tail was finished. It looks brand new but after 2 years, it would be normal to see some wear and tear. I'm just assuming though.

They did say in the auction that they didn't really get to use it. I don't think it's Mermaid Melissa who is selling it but they people that bought it from her a year ago.

Actually yesterday I sent a message to the owners telling them if I could buy the tail even if I live in Italy but I got no answer from them...
Now I'll send another message telling them that they can ship the tail to New Jersey and I'll see what happens.

You might want to ask what their refund policy is in case the tail isn't up to expectations. I can inspect it for you but you will want to be able to get your money back if it's crap. Ebay had buyer protections, but I don't know if being por of the country hfs anything to do with it.
