I just noticed an issue I think of season 2 while re-watching season one...Evie keeps mentioning working it out with Cam and that it couldn't have been that bad. But at the end of season 2 during the major betrayal, she was slightly involved (helped Zac figure out the betrayal) and it seems like he would've told her by that point what Cam did.

Still though, it's a children's show, where all the conflicts are caused by miscommunication and failure to talk about their problems. Lol. :P

I do not like how the new tails look on the guys. It looks bulky where their feet are. I wonder why they did that?

To be honest I have NEVER liked the design of any of the H20 style tails. I feel like when you extend a tail that much and make it fat to hide the heels then you need a BIG fluke to balance it out. The flukes have always looked to small to me, though I am sure they are huge in person. It just gave it a sort of "freshwater fish" feel to me. I like the extra length and I like the hidden heels, but I just don't like the flukes.

I agree with Seavanna. I also don't like the edges of the girls tails, they look like sick fish. Don't take me wrong though, I love the show!

i thought exactly the same thing! they look like they have ichthyopterosis (commonly known as ick). cuz the scales turn white and get icky slimy stuff on em. why couldnt they have pretty tails? a goldfish? really? 0 imagination there

mako has a diff title song than h20 i think they did that so they wouldnt be able to bend their knees they didnt bother to explain that, at least not in the first half of the season

buy uk dvd player. also buy ADAPTER. prob solved. i use a uk flatiron i bought in london i read the 3rd will be the last. *sobs into my fins* thats in the 2nd half of the season tho

I agree. I have always thought their tails were ugly, bulky, not exotic...just eeeech. They didn't even bother to blend the waistline and those hideous tops the girls wear look like meat bras. They should have hired Raven to create them and make each one more individual to the mermaid or merman. She would have done a much more flattering job.

i thought about the species thing too, but look at koi. theyre not all the same color either that or its cuz he has big feet hahaha i didnt think they look but just a tiny bit better in the fisrt 13 episodes i like tattered fluke edges but these are the ugliest dorsals they could have come up with and those tails make their butts look sooooooo huge cuz they used neoprene with the silicone. like u have this small waist then all of a sudden this huge butt and a strap around the neck? cmon

I'm just gonna pop in here quickly, de-rail the topic slightly and then leave, SeaMonkey please don't think I'm trying to attack, insult or belittle you at all because that's not my intention, I'm just trying to offer a small piece of advice, since making a lot of multiple short, one line posts all in a row may be considered spamming the thread (and I've seen you do it on a couple of threads now) and I'm not sure if that is against the rules of the Mer-Network or not, but it is on some forum sites. Instead of making another post directly after one you've already made, maybe consider just editing the original/ previous/ first post with the 'edit' button which is located beneath any post you make

SeaMonkey, I just think it's important that you know that we aren't ganging up against you, if it seems like that. I used to double post when I started here, and I understand that its easier just to type what you wanted to say in the quick reply box instead of going to edit. Trust me, I know, especially when you just need to change a word, and it takes forever to save it. It's a lot easier to just make a bunch of short one line posts everytime you want to add something than edit the original, but making multiple short posts in a row, can be considered spamming, and in the worst case scenario, could end up with you getting banned (though I 'm sure that won't happen ) Just some advice, I'm not trying to attack or insult you here, we all make mistakes. BTW I love your username!

I cannot say for sure as I haven't seen the second season yet (have to wait for youtube upload or DVD release), but it could be like with some reptiles:

Females lay eggs, which will always hatch into females if they're not fertilized.
(natural Mako procreation)

If fertilization happens (with human males?), the hatchling is always male.
(unnatural and shunned Mako procreation.)

That probably also means the mermen are hybrids (possess landform from birth onward), grow up on land, don't have much interaction with "natural" mermaids, and thus are regarded as aberrations.
