It looks beautiful in the water - I would so love to see it in person. Also, I love the size of that fluke!

I look forward to hearing more!
When you said it drains slowly, is that out of the water? It didn't balloon up IN the water, did it? A few swims will loosen the drainage channels, the silicone is probably still stuck to the monofin in spots. I can walk you through checking that.

Yes ma'am. Out of the water. It was a little hard to get out of the pool in the tail because the fluke would get really heavy, but I would like to give it at least another swim or two before I give my in depth review.
In the few pictures I have seen there was no ballooning in the water.
I absolutely love the way the belly shimmers in the light, just like moonstone.
This tail is so flippin' difficult to photograph properly!

Mine weighs a ton pulling it out of the water, too. I think that might be common. Between the spaces around your feet and between your calves, that could hold a gallon or two...that's almost 15-20 pounds of water right there. But like I said, I can walk you through checking to make sure the drainage channels are open.
I have documentation and a care sheet that I will be sending to you, and I have been refining some sketches for your top based on your design. In the interim, caring for the tail is really easy. Soap and water on a washcloth or body pouf/scrubby inside and out, rinse until the water runs clear. Stuff a couple of small towels into the foot area to absorb the water from the nylon straps for a while, the inside and outside of the tail body, just wipe it dry. If you can prop it open with a pool noodle or two to let air circulate inside, even better. It's really durable and you don't have to worry about scraping any paint off. You can disinfect the inside with Lysol wipes...it will keep the inside nice and pristine.
I'm so glad you like your moonstone belly! And yes, it IS hard to photograph! Welcome to my world!
The way I figure it, you're going to be the one to see the detail more than anyone!
Was the fin easy to get on and off? Comfy? Did you wear socks?

*SCREAMING* THIS IS SO FREAKING AMAZING AND WOW!

I use crappy vodka to clean >.>
I did wear fluffy socks. The first strap went on easy and I had to fight the second one, because of course there is less room to work with.
That is just a matter of practice for me though.
I like the way the fin is set up. No pinched toes.
The people at the pool thought it was beautiful.
Enora and her sister practically rubbed their faces on it
Etela thought it was beautiful. I may ask her to chime in on what she thought it looked like in th water.
Lotus and Lunette seemed excited too.
I also made my way across the pool and crawled into the hot tub.
About the top. I am just gonna go ahead and give you full artistic liberties there.
If you want to do pale in the center to a dark outer, all dark, can't make to moons work, rune stone misbehaving, sudden epiphany, anything.
Just do your thing.
I am sure it will be incredible.

It is a little shorter than I anticipated, but it does cover the vitals.
No waist gap! It fits really well in the waist.
It is loose in the thighs.
Overall I am happy with the tail.

What is your opinion on hanging your tails on the wall?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
I think it would be great. I hear bike hooks work well, but I would cover them with pieces of pool noodle to cushion the edges.
I use a stand that I made from pvc pipe, I'll draw it up tomorrow if you like.![]()

Awesomeness.
I combed through old threads and found Iona's set up (hooks, pipe insulation, drywall screws) and I think I have just the place on my wall (which is good, because it can't live in the tub forever, and it freaks my cat out when it is on the bathroom floor. Leading to... accidents.)
I appreciate you.

How did I miss this? Hahaha!
I had to make a stand for mine...no floor space at all, and when I hung it over the shower rod...CRASH!!!!

Home Depot makes these little holders that they use for lids that have plush sides! It's like $12. It's what I use.![]()

Note, I didn't modify at all. This is how they come. So delicate on tails

I should be taking my tail out to give it a proper swim test and get a little video
