Some photoshoots from the last 2 years

Since I have been absent I wanted to share a few photos that would appeal to this group, some are underwater, most aren't. But I didn't feel like this belonged in the "I just had a photoshoot thread" because only one image is in a tail.

At my studio for the past two years we have been working on both underwater photography and 'floating' images, which we now actually offer as a package during the summer and spring.

Please feel free to ask me any questions about our process or how we created images.

My Houdini being very interested as we set up for some floating images and wondering why she can't get in the shooting pool

Setting up for floating shoots, notice the rickety ass totally not safe ladder

Setting up for a client who demanded a floating package in the beginning of December.....we tried to talk her out of it but it was no go. This day we shot in like 9 degree weather outside. We also decided that if she was going to shoot in it, we might as well get some shots in as well. This day is the reason we now restrict this package to spring and summer, it was so painful. But, i'll do anything for my art and to get the shot.

Black cake icing is what's coming out of my mouth, this was such a gross shoot.....I absolutely HATE cake icing

We were experimenting using similar fabrics under me in the water this day

This was awesome, we now have access to a metal bottomed pool at a condo, bad news is it's only 3 feet deep, this was last weekend trying it out

I love your photography. Your images are so captivating and evocative. Since you said it would be okay to ask questions about your process, can you tell us how you were able to get the water so opaque?

3 gallons of Whole Milk in the kiddy pool that we use to shoot these....but it suuuuuckkkkkssss to shoot in. I just did it again this weekend for a couple more shots (i'll post later after they're edited with some more behind the scenes stuff.) It's not harmful or anything but to get the right cloudiness it needs to be whole, preferably room temperature. While you're in there you can't feel it BUT once you get out you're covered in a milk fat slime basically and you stink to high heaven.

Shhhhhhh............... im not supposed to share this one yet.

It's UNEDITED straight off the camera. You guys are the first to get this one. Yes the goldfishies are real, they loved my hair and we kept having to untangle them.

Bottom of the pool is white, the rest of this set were shot with a black background in the water, we decided to take it out at the last moment for one more shot.

This one was REAL hard for me to do because water was in my sinuses the entire time, this was my very last pose, we decided I was going to just slip quietly under the surface. I have never been good at being on my back underwater.
