    I've been approved for a new insulin pump, and I'm getting a waterproof one! That means I don't need to disconnect anymore when I swim, which will make managing blood sugars a lot easier, as well as just being a lot more convent.

    And... it's now en route, and I should get it next week!

    I was asked to be on a panel at a con about being a mermaid... Im not sure if I am confident enough to say yes, but I am still thinking about it.

    I'm excited! I've been trying to get in shape, and can almost do a one handed pull-up now. I'm just so happy, to see how far I've gotten and the progress I've made. And @SeaMansas, that's awesome! You have an excuse to get a tail and no Orin now, to help teach your cousin how to swim in one safely.

    You can also use that as an excuse to why you've gotten into the hobby. Unfortunately I won't have a pool or tail available for probably a year and a half, when I go to college. But for now getting in shape is awesome! That just means I'll be able to swim better.

    I finally got my $56 refunded back to my PayPal account! Going to order some tail making supplies for my silicone tail! I need to finish making clay scales and make the rest of my scale molds then I'm going to clean my work table in the garage so I can start sculpting the fluke for my silicone tail.

    I just came back from the beach. I got to fully test out my monofin this time. I struggled in the ocean at first but then I realized the straps weren't tight enough which made my monofin slightly lopsided. Once I tightened the straps I actually picked up some good speed despite the choppy waves. For a few seconds while I was out there I actually felt like a mermaid.

    I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism today but I hear the meds and whatnot are good AND it might help with controlling body temperature. Plus I get to see my family all weekend, which started today!

    So I haven't been on in forever but I have a few different happys to share
    One I've started pricing my stuff to buy to make my own silicone tail and I won't cost as much as originally expected
    Two I'm back in school and working on getting my nursing degree
    Three last but not least I am 6 months pregnant with a healthy baby girl ❤️❤️️ and my son is so excited to meet her❤️️❤️❤️️❤️
