    Shelf liner help!

Hey guys, i swear i post way too much on this site lol. But ive seen so many people using shelf liner for the fringe on their flukes and i really like how it looks, but problem is, i have no idea how to do it or even what it is lol. First of all, is it expensive? Can you use a normal sewing machine to sew it on? How would you go about sewing it? Where would you sew it? Im just so lost lol

Not very expensive, about $6-$8 a roll. Yes you can use a regular sewing machine, I would just use a strong needle like a leather or upholstery needle. First cut out your pieces, then pin the vinyl onto the fabric and sew it on. Most use it for a dorsal fin(going down the back of the legs) and on the bottom of the fluke. Some have even used it for hip fins and ankle fins.

Courtney Mermaid has a few videos on Youtube discussing how to add vinyl/shelf liner to your tail. I just ran across some of the videos yesterday, actually!
