    Red face

    Guess who got her tail?

The only issue with it is that it's a little too big in the hip area. When it's dry, it's way too big, which caused me to freak out when I put it on, but once it gets wet it suctions to my body and it's pretty much perfect so, overall, I'm happy! And the colours look amazing underwater.

Ah okay. Thanks. :3 Although I think my hips and thighs are probably too big for it. xD Oh well. Good luck!

No, I was too excited to set that up :P I put it on as soon as I got it out of the box. And it just would have been a minute of me saying "wow... Ah, wow! Holy shit wow"
...Which I guess is essentially what an unboxing video is xD

No, not really; I just wanted it to be green and burgundy, since they're two of my favourite colours, and a lot of fresh-water fish tend to be those sorts of colours (bass, rainbow trout, etc). I wanted to look like I had rolled out of a lagoon/pond

I love the color scheme/paint job on your tail! It's understated but really beautiful, and it suits that fluke shape really well. You look like you could have just crawled out of a painting or something!

Amelia and my tails are supposed to start production in late april. I can't wait but am starting to get scared because I can't commit to colours! And because there seems to be so many tails in production atm! I don't know how they fit it all in. They are superwomen!

Ok I'll say that when i saw it on the finfolk fb page, I didn't like the fluke or the colors. But seeing it on has totally changed my mind. It looks so magical!

It's so exciting seeing everyone get their tails!!!

"Your tail will likely be completed by June."

I just messaged them asking for a sharper time frame! A month and a half until June and seeing everyone's tails and their updates... EEEEEE! YOUR TAILS LOOK GORGEOUS MIKA AND MELAINA!! As well as every tail I've seen from them. I just want to hug all of you right now for posting pictures!! It keeps my fire going! Long wait lines sometimes kills anticipation however, some things are SOOOO worth waiting for.

Same Meilyn! Minus the upgrades though the fluke reminds me of pirates of the Caribbean!

Are the upgrade things like the extension of the fluke which goes up the side?? -confused mer here-

Melaina, just wondering how you ended up with those pelvic fins. They are gorgeous! Did you design the shape or did the twins? I am trying to decide which shape fins I want (and trying to choose where they are going. Definitely want ankle fins but can't decide between pectoral or pelvic).

    I drew this sketch:

And then asked them to do whatever they liked to make it work
They didn't charge me any extra for the custom sculpt, because they were confident they could use the design again. You could always send them some sketches and see what they say!

As for the fin positions, I'm assuming you mean pectoral as on the hips ("side fins"), and pelvic on the front of the body (like mine)? It gets confusing sometimes because we don't really name fins by where they should be on a mermaid (by all rights "pectorals" should be somewhere near the boobs) but rather as if our tails are fish whose heads start at our waists.

In any case, fin position really depends on tail design/colour in my opinion. Some tails lend themselves to large, textured side fins:

While others look best with cute little fins on the belly:

So, I think you really need to consider colour scheme and patterning in conjunction with fins
