Finally wet my fins!

Just two days ago I made my first fabric tail, and I finally got to swim in it! After years of wanting to have a tail to use I was giddy with excitement.
The experience was great overall. I learned one of the lifeguards at my local pool wants to own/make a tail herself so I referred her to the network for tips. A group of young girls followed me around and kept asking questions about the tail. They were all so surprised and happy it made me happy, too!
Aside from a storm coming in and cutting my first swim short, I had a great time. Getting used to the drag of a tail was a little whelming at first, but within minutes I started testing out different maneuvers.
All in all, I can't wait to go swimming again!
