Silicone over sequins?

Has this been done? Does anyone think it would work?

I tested that...the sequins cut through the silicone. Chunky glitter cuts through, too. It's a big mess.

But if you were to stretch a layer of nylon(like the tights), thinly accross the sequin layer, it'd keep the sequins down, and not likely coat too much of the shine from the sequins...
