I love your color choices! <3
So here's what I did the last 2 nights (I say nights 'cause I had to work during the day) and I know, the pictures will be a bit boring because it's all going to look the same so I'm throwing in a design I made a year ago (the colors don't match the design I want now :-p, like a lot of people I change my mind all the time, it's pretty exhausting, don't you guys think?):
I finished the back of the tail (the end of the tail as you can see :-p) and something you might notice is the fact that the right side is wider and more straight then the other, which I fixed already by cutting some sequins off.
This is supposed to be the front of the tail and I'm trying something new, doing both sides at the same time allows me to check constantly and use the same color sequins on the same spots so it's more symmetrical, once I got used to this technique I found out this is a good way to go and I'll keep using this. :-)
This is a great start and your drawings are amazing btw!
I finished the other side near the vinyl! Will post pictures tomorrow and then I move on to the next stage, which is adding more pink :-p. I've also been playing with the leftover white fabric and some vinyl to make more fins near the top of my tail, but I haven't quite figured that out yet, only that I want them to be long!
Finished the front of the tail, now for the hard part, the transition from white to pink and dark pink.

Wow! I love the colors and the design of your tail is great!! Cant wait to see more pictures!! This makes me want to get started on my tail!!
It looks beautiful! Is the tail already sewn together, or are you going to sew it after you're done sequinning it? Which do you recommend?

Thanks, it's nice to hear that I can inspire people to start working on their tails. :-) hihi
Thank you! The tail is already sewn together and i would totally recommend this!! It's much easier, trust me! :-)
So sorry I haven't posted any more pictures but I got invited by Chris Crumley to participate in his mermaid portfolio workshop next week (a spot opened up) so I'm preparing everything to go to the Bahama's and finally get my first under water photoshoot!!! I'm so excited, you have no idea!!! But it's all very last minute so I need to get A LOT of things done: Which means I'll disappear for a week or two. After that I'll snap in 5th gear and finish this baby as soon as I can!!!
Hey guys,
Waow, I'm so sorry for being away for so long, it's been crazy, had a lot of ups and downs, stuff to deal with and my Blue sequin tail needed a quick fix for a waterballet show I performed in BUT I finally had the chance to continue on my pink beauty and here are a few photos of my progress!!! I do have to confess I was also being a bit lazy 'cause it can be a pain in the *** to upload these pictures and resize them and stuff, you guys all know what I'm talking about. ALSO my website is FINALLY online so if you want, swim over and check it out and let me know what you think (there is a small error in my english text but it's being fixed so please don't laugh at me to hard (okay, you can laugh a little bit 'cause it's a stupid mistake and I was like:" WHAT! How did I miss that :-p) and I've got a little video on my youtube channel so if you wanna check that out go here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLJCTGLaifg
In the last picture the tail looks weir because I stuffed some pillows in there 'cause I want the fabric to stretch to it's max when I sew the sequins on which is WAY easier. Sorry for the bad quality and the light doesn't do the colors justice, I'll take some pictures when the light is better :-p.
Love you all!!!
WOW <3
