Last night was my graduation ceremony for my first Degree! I'm officially a graduated cylinder!

I have an Associate of Applied Science in Jewelry! I'm basically a fully-trained jeweler, but since someone would have to die in this town before I would even be considered for a job in that field, I'm already going back to school to become a Pharmacy Technician. There's just too darned many of us pesky jewelers in the Austin area, and I'm not exceptionally good at it. Now if only someone would get the graduated cylinder joke. :\

Whoa awesome!!! Sorry about the employment part tho.. Totally understand how u feel. I graduated with a library information and technician diploma but couldn't land any jobs because of the govnt job cuts in that field :| good luck with your new career choice!

Okay! I'm posting late, mostly because I was in this sort of dream like state yesterday when I got home, but yesterday was just so amazing. Since I go to a university that's far away, I don't get to see my boyfriend very often, we see each other about once every 2 or 3 months. So yesterday he comes to pick me up and we hang out and watch netflix over his house for forever and it's just so nice because it's just the two of us and we get to catch up and just cuddle and after he drops me off at home again, he stays for a few hours because he didn't want to have to say goodbye just yet. It was just an amazing relaxing day and I know to some people netflix doesn't seem romantic at all, but it really was. The next time I'll see him even though we're both on winter break now and I'm home (because he's going to mexico for x-mas ) will be valentine's day which is also our anniversary ) and I can't wait! I'm already trying to find the perfect card for him (every time we hang out, I get him a really inappropriate card, he's got quite the collection going haha, I need to out do myself because my last card was amazing lol)

Yesterday at work I was drawing Mickey on the whiteboard with my leads.
Lead: how do you do that???
Me: I draw circles :|
They thought I did such a great job that they want me to do Disney animation and teach kids at our store how to draw.

Eeep. I've always wanted to do that!! ;-;
