Help them to your best capabilities and you will be fine" Oh, and you could ask if someone could be your 'safety net' that if someone calls and you don't know how to answer their questions you can put them through to them. Practice calls can help, as Kelda mentioned, and as you call people or get called more often, it will get easier. And a paper with notes on what to ask helps too
And imagine everyone that is answering the phone, in their pyjamas! That's what I was told when I went for a job search class last year.

So that they are easier to talk to, if you have a smile on your face.

I'm so sick of corporate scumbags f*cking up the planet.
Just now, a law has passed in Germany to pave the way for fracking.

Yes, let's poison all our water supplies and set the whole country up for constant earthquakes just to squeeze out the few last drops of oil and gas before it runs out anyway, instead of looking for a better alternative right now.

Fantastic choice, considering there is no spot left in the world that hasn't polluted air, man-made radiation, poisoned and gene-manipulated food, and destroyed landscapes.
That means we all get to die sooner, which is good news, because who the f wants to live in a man-made hell like that?

That's awful, Echidna. The grand old US of A is pretty much doomed, since our government is a nature-destroying Coporatocracy. But I've always thought of European countries as being more enlightened and forward thinking when it comes to safer technology and environmental preservation.

I'm tired of being forced to hide and seeing no progress to feel better. I have people i can talk to but thats it. I can't be open and I can't really take steps to feeling better. I just wish I was born in the right body or that i could just change. I want to be me and not an actor in my own life!

So I go to buy fabric for my new tale.project and meet a little girl who
asks about what I'm making. After explaining she tells her mother that she can be a mermaid and she's not too big like her Mom said because I'm big and I'm a mermaid. Her mother smiles and politely congratulates me on being bold to be a "less than average mermaid " as they turn to go down the next isle she tells her daughter "She's only pretending to be a mermaid she'll never be one like what we saw at the park dear." I promptly went to the end of the isle and waited for them to come down and spoke to the mother. "Just because you don't believe in us larger.girls doesn't mean you should discourage her to. There are actually a lot of larger mermaids that are performers and quite popular. " She then proceeded to get rude and.short.with me saying "It's because of girls like you that girls like my daughter think it's ok to look the way you do." She left with the poor girl in tears and me fuming mad....all I wanted was a new tale and to make a little girl more.confident about herself. ...

Never hide who you are, those who can't accept you for all of you should not get the honor of knowing you. Life is meant to be lived not acted.

That is so sad! I just felt how crushing that must have been to that little girl. Definitely crushing for you too to hear the Mom ruin the moment but good for you to add that anyone can be a mermaid no matter what you look like! Even though the little girl was crying hopefully what you said still stuck with her and she will follow her dreams. Life would be so boring if we all didn't follow our dreams because we didn't fit the generic idea or look.

Thanks guys, it was a real shock for me too.

France and Bulgaria, which have far larger exploitable (how I loathe this word) deposits than Germany, have fracking fully banned to my knowledge.

But who knows what'll happen in the future.
Apparently it's enough to wave some bank notes, and every politician can't wait to sign the law that is delivered up to them by the businesses already fully worded (and yes, this is what happens most of the time).

Best thing is, there was a petition signed by over a million people to NOT pass this law.
I knew for years the so-called "democracy" here isn't worth a dime, but it's so depressing to have it thrown into your face blatantly, and not being able to do anything about it.

Echidna we're having the same problem in my country to when it comes to fracking.

I thought Scotland was proud to be one of the greenest countries around, with wind turbines absolutely everywhere you go. But i was wrong. The government wants to start this ridiculous process. Why do we need fracking anyway? We have an oil deposit in the north sea that is still going.

Why are the powers of the countries not stopping all the pollution? Our ocean is starting to turn into freaking acid for crying out loud! We are also in the middle of a mass extinction due to hunting and loss of habitat. Ugh. It really bugs me. Who knows what fracking will do in the long run?
I wanna be where the mermaids are, I wanna see, wanna see them twirling
Swimming around with those, What do you call 'em?
    Oh, fins.

Ugh... my foot got caught in my hammock when I went to step over it and I fell spectacularly and I landed on my crockpot (which is apparently indestructible) and everything is fine but my buttcheek really smarts...

    whaaa?

why'd China even want to buy fracking rights in Canada?
China has some of the biggest shale gas/oil deposits in the world.

But, there goes my option no 3 of emigrating to.
There is no place one can really be not affected by all this, except maybe a lonely island in the middle of the ocean. And there, you probably get blown up by a nuclear bomb test

If only there was a way to get rid of money and all the mad circus around it.
Everyone would be allotted the bare necessities free of charge, provided they help in their local community.
And bam, 90% of destruction and crime would stop at once, because all of those revolve around making, getting, and stealing money.

oh i was saying canada as a whole in general. they sold our rights to china so if china wanted our resources they could come in and destroy the land and the aboriginals can't fight for territory or even us canadian citizens. if we even try to protest china will sue us for millions... smh.
