(No longer available.) $1,700 Silicone Tail

I have paid $3,315 for this tail made by FinspoMermaidTails, and I'm asking for $500. Inside is a Finis Trainer monofin cut in a fluke shape, which is a medium in women's (6.5-8).
The tail has only been used a few times. I'm selling this because I'm hoping to buy a new tail, and the quality is substandard.

Defects include:
- Messy seams on the body of the tail and extra fins
- Scales and fluke have sloppy finish
- Slightly faded paint job
- Hole on the back by the dorsal fin
- Tear caused by monofin puncture
- Torn, stretched seams

mernation fixes up tails ^^ i dunno if you think itks worth saving but if not whom ever buys it could easily talk to mernation and see if they can fix it ^____^

I've actually contacted them about it, they've said that the repairs may cost as much as the tail is worth, and take as much time as making a new tail would be. Plus, I have a new tail design. Hopefully the new owner can appreciate this tail more than I do

Also, just a note, I'm not too sure that a small finis trainer would fit up to a 9. I have a medium in the trainer, with size 9 feet and it's on the 'fit's perfectly' side with a 'a bit too snug' if I add booties. Plus, looking at the finis website they advertise a 'medium' fitting 7.5-9, going up by 2 sizes every interval (L 9.5-11, XL 11.5-13) and so on. Following this logic a 'small' would be sized to fit 5.5-7 sized foot. Maybe it has a medium sized fin in it? I ask only because as far as I know finis don't even make small sized monofins anymore.

...I just checked out your photos and comments in the other thread you linked. That's crap! I'm so sorry you got such a poorly constructed tail. I don't even understand how someone could make a tail that sloppy.

hmm....I know it has a bit of damage to it, but it's still tempting to get. Many of the Gig's that I did before my Latex tail become un-useable were distance gigs. So I wouldn't have to do much to fix it up. Plus it would give me a tail to use while I'm waiting for my silicone tail to be finished (I know it's going to be five or six month before I get it, if not longer). UGH...why do I have to be so broke!


I hope this tail get's a good home and that you can get your refund.

I tested it in water, and the fluke got filled up, so I'm assuming no, and it weighs 35 pounds.
