Aysun, I don't know if you are aware of this, but it sounds like something the body does naturally. When it's cold out, the human body will divert heat away from your hands and feet to keep the part of your body where vital organs are warm. If you wrap your feet up in wool it should keep them insulated. Wool is an awesome insulator and it should warm your feet up quick. I understand being cold all too well. I not only have barely any body fat, but I'm tall and skinny. My house has tile floor, and during the winter, even in florida, it can get pretty cold. Of course, Winter in Florida doesn't last longer than 2 or 3 months if at all.

    I am sick.
I was sick 2 weeks ago and got better.
I had to cancel a party for tomorrow and I have an event on Saturday and if I have to cancel that too I will be SO upset.
My head is KILLING me, my throat is sore and I kind of feel like I'm going to pass out. So much pressure in my head.
Ugh this just SUCKS. There's no other way to describe it. It sucks.
That is all. If you read it, thanks for listening.

I hope you feel better. Take lots of Vitamin C, generic Dayquil and Nyquil will help, and take ibuprofen. My family is allergic to Penicillin and Sulfa Products which is just about all the meds that treat colds. I've been there, and we always had to get creative with treating it. I know a certain kind of Tea with honey can soothe your throat too, and it will calm your nerves. I hope you feel better soon.

I know this may sound tacky, but a good cure for a sore throat and feeling cold is hot soup. Make sure you put lots of healthy stuff into it. That's what my family usually does. Ginger Ale is also good, but what you really want is lots of hot soup like split pea soup and vegetable soup. If you're handy in the kitchen, chop up potatoes, carrots, scallions, onions, garlic, and whatever other vegetables you fancy. Add vegetable bouillon to add flavor and seasonings. Cook into a soup, and you have something that will help you feel better whether you have a cold or you're feet are cold. The steam from the soup and the warmth will open up your sinuses which will help to relieve the pressure on your head. Take plenty of hot showers because the steam will also help to relieve the pressure on your sinuses. Gargle saltwater too, that will help you with your throat. If you can make it to the beach, swimming in the ocean and fresh air will do you wonders even if you don't feel like doing it. If you can manage to do stuff outside, do it. The outdoors can really help you. I'm no doctor, and if it gets too bad for this to help, you should go and see one. I really do hope you feel better.

Politicians should be required to have some sort of background in some sort of science so all the idiots like that get weeded out of the political pool early on. Oi vey!

I'm an idahoan... My republican father, bless his heart, and most other men around here of this variety legit believe women's bodies can't get pregnant during rape. I was like dad, there's not some magic psychological off switch. O_O

Education of this sort takes time and patience. As much as we'd all love to stick it to these guys, it wouldn't help much.

There was a girl in my middle school survival group who was like this. Totally homophobic, didn't believe in evolution, anti-abortion, all that. It took time but she's definitely changed. Which is a good thing, because two of the other girls in the group are lesbians, another considers herself "bendy," and I myself am more attracted to intelligence than anything else (yes, I am one of THOSE bookworms). She's been really sweet about it all.

So progress is definitely possible but patience is key. One has to show these sorts of people the truth of what they're saying and introduce them to more progressive ideals bit by bit. Many DO come around.

GAAAAH!!!! There's been a whole town of people in Denmark who brutally slaughtered a pod of beautiful pilot whales. I want to cry and scream. I hate what our species is doing to this one of a kind Earth. It's like it is in out nature to destroy ourselves and everything around us. You know I just feel like I have a really deep connection with whales and dolphins and have since I was a small kid. Even though I've never swam with them I just hold them close to my heart. Poor babies. Sleep peacefully. *Cries*

I found an article on the slaughter. Evidently, it's illegal in the EU and Denmark, but they're protecting this annual event because it's a tradition.

I feel the exact same way.

Didn't a bunch of Taiji-dolphinkillers participate in that Faroer slaughter?
    "Sadistic minds think alike", probably.

And in Alaska/Canada, 500 narwhals and around 1000 belugas are killed every year by native hunters.
There is a discussion about it right now in the environment section, but no matter whether one thinks this is "needed" or not, it will wipe out more species in the end.

Because that is the only thing man does well.

If I may say so, I think man does a LOT of good. We can't be fatalistic or else we may as well give up on protecting the environment. We could start a petition or sign one if there already is one out there. There are ways we can help even on this side of the globe, and we're human beings as well. We can make a difference! Humans aren't all evil, sadistic killing machines. We're proof of that.

I want to differentiate that Faroe Islands and Denmark are very far apart, two very different places.
It's just part of the Danish Kingdom.

Still a dumb unnecessary tradition that should be stopped. Make whale-piņatas like modern people.

I will speak up for the Inuits in Alaska and Canada, I may not be getting all the facts correct so feel free to correct me, I know a lot of them have to hunt like that just to feed themselves because they can't afford the prices of food. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/north/...more-1.2929573 http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2012/06...n_1588144.html. So I guess what I'm trying to say that yes the killing of more whales is not good, the issue of these people starving to the point they have no other choice but to hunt these creatures is another problem that needs to be addressed. I think in some cases a head of lettuce can cost them almost $30.

And honestly Canadian aboriginal groups are a hell of a lot different than other parts of the world. They hold the balance of animals and nature as paramount. Most of our Canadian activism groups are made up of huge amounts of various aboriginal groups. It is the militant thinking that you can't fight for nature but also utilize it that drives me nuts. I just find there is so much ignorance. In Canada we are taught in schools a lot about the cultures of others but it is not the way in other places.
