The Happy Thread!

Thanks for the congratulations everyone.

He's perfect and adorable and covered in downy hair and is so warm and snuggly. We're all recovering well and probably get to go home tomorrow, looking forward to introducing Juniper to her new brother. Husband has the next three weeks off, so that's great.

SeaGlass; my husband had very specific requirements for that middle name; it had to begin with a vowel and be mathematically geeky in nature. We settled on Archimedes after I vetoed Euclid(he originally wanted the middle name to begin with E, but Euclid is a street in my hometown and it just sounded weird to me). I expect Jimmy will grow up to be some kind of steampunk inventor or submarine captain. My mom is already sending us astronomy and math prints to hang in the nursery; she sent botanical prints for Juniper.

So excluding my student loans which don't have to be paid back until I'm earning over a certain amount.... I just paid off the last of the debts I had built up, my one store card and all the money I owed mum and my older brother from when I was unemployed etc. I worked all summer to do it. I also finally got the paperwork etc to the solicitors to start my divorce officially. So now I can save to pay the last half of the divorce fees and for a gym membership!

Also starting tomorrow I'm doing a sponsored challenge of 10,000 steps a day for 4 weeks to raise money for scope which is a disabilities charity. *Dances*

Jessica Mer sent me photos of color testing for my tail the other day, SO in love!!! I'm keeping it a surprise but the color scheme is super gorgeous! Now to get all my money saved so it can be put to reality!

i have a story for you guys

ok so my mom works at a K-8 catholic school. this is a super tiny school, like the size of the school is one long highschool hallway. i didnt go to this school but my older sisters did. there is only one class for every grade. like no joke, there is like 15-20 students for each grade. tiny tiny school
my mom is the school's secutary so she knows every single kid's name and thier parents. usally when she brings somthing from the school, its left over treats from class parties. (the best part is in febuary she goes on a diet so for valentines day alot of kids get her candy too and she gives it to me)

right so she comes home and says "sara i got somthing for you from school" and im like oh sweet is it icecream or somthing?
she gives me a pencil box. so im thinking maybe the art teacher didnt need some color pencils or somthing. so i open the box

so im like ???????
and she tells me that there is a family who loves to go to some beach in Virginia that is infamous for shark teeth and they wake up at the crack of dawn to get first dibs and the donated this box of teeth to the school. but the school didnt know what to do with them so she gave them to me.
they have alot of stuff people give to them hoping they would find away to use it. they also had a 30 gallon tank they wernt using and my mom was gonna bring that home but someone alreaddy took it.

im just like ?????? and :V and ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ at the same time

It really seemed to help the arthritis in my back and my fibromyalgia. No luck with my neuropathy. But then again it was just one time.
Do you find it to help with your pain levels Raina?

So.....
I think I may have found the perfect college to transfer to, hopefully, after i complete my final year at my current college. I am really excited about it and can't wait to do some more research although, me naturally being me, there is that little voice in the back of my head saying "don't do it you fool, stay at your current college, just do another two years and get your useless bachelor's there for olokun's sake You'll never get accepted and if you do, you won't be happy because blah blah blah blah!" But, I am putting that aside. For now at least. Idk. I am happy about it though.

Also, I have decided I'm going to grow my hair again (say what?) Yeah, i know right, but i have always hated cutting my hair. I had an afro for 3/4 years of highschool before I cut it and it was pretty impressive. Black (afro) hair is beautiful, but requires a shit ton of maintenance that little teenage me was totally not up for. Maybe now that i know better, I can go for a new look. Maybe braids. Or twists. Or dreads. Maybe I'll just have a big ass afro again, but idk, make it curlier which is a cool style i keep seeing nowadays.
Idk. I am just happy.

Also, Archimedes is an awesome middle name, Celaeno
