So I went ahead and made a mermaid account on Facebook the other day... And I've gotta ask, is it normal to get a HUGE number of friend requests, followers and PMs right off the bat? Because I've been getting flooded nonstop since Friday and it's kinda freaking me out, haha. I feel totally overwhelmed already and kind of questioning what I've gotten myself into!
I haven't had any unpleasant run-ins with any merverts yet, but I do have a question: was it ever confirmed exactly what the deal was with Xianne Lime? I know they got banned from here for being SUPER creepy about people's sex lives and potentially lying about who they were, but did we ever figure out if they were actually a mervert in disguise or not? Mostly curious because I got friend requests from them on both my mermaid AND my personal accounts and it sent up huuuuuge red flags. Plus it made me realize that I hadn't heard anything about them in a while.

Then it turned out that the pics on their FB page weren't even of them, and they refused to prove who they were, then they just started junk-posting in the thread trying to troll everyone, then they got banned. That was months ago, I wanna say January/February?? I'll see if I can dig up the thread.

Ok, what's up with this Chris Perry dude? He found my profile though the MerMania group I assume. I checked his profile and saw that he does have a mertailor tail, but also noted that his favorite movies include some mermaid classics as well as foot fetish porn. That in conjunction with hearing his name on this list makes me want to delete him. Raina, you had mentioned he was offering to buy women tails.... Anyone else have experience with this guy?
Also, Manfred Frickel had sent me random emails a couple of times. They always include attachments but I've never opened them or responded. I blocked him a couple months ago just because he seems like a weirdo.

Chris perry has been around forever, like longer than me, but he used to tell people he'd buy a mermaid tail for the right mermaid if they'd date him and he used to relentlessly ask women out. I know some of the admins here had experience with him trying to like, redirect him. He wasn't being perverted, but just really obsessive about asking for dates and it got kinda pathetic to be honest.
Yeah, Christopher Perry has been around for a long time. He was contently asking women to be his girlfriend, or just talking about how much he wished he wasn't alone. While his behavior was totally inappropriate I've always felt sorry for him.

I don't think he's the same guy. He seems fairly harmless, if not annoying. He sends me a message every month or so or anytime I upload anything new. Anyways the same "beautiful new mermaid pics". I just ignore him.

Anybody else getting weird messages from people demanding that you send them a friend request?? I'm getting that a lot tonight and I don't understand what the point is supposed to be... If they want to be my friend so damn badly, they could always just send me a request themselves?? (Although honestly if they did at this point I'd probably just decline them out of stubbornness anyway...)

If it's on your personal page rather than your mersona's page it's because you have disabled one click friending. I noticed it earlier, instead of 'want to be her friend, click!' it says 'want to be her friend, send her a message!'
