Guys I dont know where to put this but I just found this video on YouTube http://youtu.be/aK6Our08bg and it has me concerned. Not only does it feature videos of mermaids without their consent, but it also has children in it. The channel is called 'Funny Sexy' and its other posts are of a sexual nature. Ive reported it, but i thought i should bring it to the attention of the community

Well that's not right... It anything there shouldn't even be an extra fee... are you having a small intimate wedding or a large gathering ?

We're planning on a small gathering (around 70 people we're guessing) but more and more people are demanding to be put on the guest list on both sides of our family being we're the first in both families to have an actual wedding (and we're guessing people want to see how we're going to combine Mexican and African-American traditions in the wedding)

That is just plain wrong! Why would you have to pay $800 for NOT using a service?
Are there any other places you could check out besides the venues you have looked at so far? Sometimes the most unexpected places can bbe used for a wedding, like a library, a museum, a community centre, sometimes even people with big houses and back yards are open to have their house used for a wedding, just throwing out ideas here.
I love the idea btw of having family and friends make the food. My brother had the same at his wedding. Me and my mom made the wedding cake and the cupcakes for desert and they had friends make all the other foods, saved them a lot of money as well.

I've started looking at other places, but none of them really seem to fit. Our theme is woodland fairy tale and with both of us loving greenery we want a place with lots of plants (so a garden) and an outdoor canopy (is that what the pretty thing with the round top is called?). And a lot of the places allowing for outside food are where quinceanera are held and I don't want his family to think it's tacky to have a wedding where girls usually have their sweet 15 parties at (and a lot of them are very industrial and not very cozy for a small gathering because they're meant to fit 400 people in them)

Okay so black people (African- Americans in particular because I don't think black people in other parts of the world have soul food) during the era of slavery, were given the parts of food that was usually thrown away, and from that grew a whole food culture of foods that would be eaten for generations. Soul food is usually found in the southern states (since that's where most slaves were held) and as such is a staple of southern cultures and something southern people are really proud of. With my family being from the south originally (fun fact, my great grandma was a direct descendant of a slave! she could even tell us stories from her mom, she died at the ripe age of 105 about 15 years ago) but any way, soul food is somewhat of a comfort food. Soul food includes things like cornbread, chitlins (pig intestines) collared greens, gumbo, fried foods, seafood, etc.
My family usually save eating fast food to big celebrations because it's getting more expensive to buy the needed ingredients (as it's becoming more mainstream, people with higher incomes are now buying it, so companies raised prices because they could and the food is now not just a "poor man's" food now since the poor man can't really afford it any more) so we have soul food on Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Family reunions, Baby showers, and when family visit from out of state

i wanted a small wedding. but his parents insisted we invite the entire family on his side :\ my parents were only able to invite 20 friends at the most because we dont have any family but their family was like 200 people? and some said they weren't coming but then 10 of them decided the day of to show up and we had to pay extra fee for their seats set up and food as opposed to just saying yes from the beginning =_= in the end after they all ate they just left. didnt even stay and party. fucking cheapo asian people....

my wedding was beautiful and my friends made up for it though, but i wish i had just eloped on the beach in peace instead.

Don't know if this is a stupid bitch or makes me seem like I'm spoiled or something but I just need to bitch!
Found a 10 gallon tank kit on Craig's List in Sacramento. The person didn't put any contact information! Even though I emailed twice to their Craig's List email, I still haven't received a reply. So I found a 30 gallon tank with a lighted hood here in Rancho Cordova,they had a number to call or text. I texted them asking if they still had it around 3:30 today but they haven't replied. So not much of a bitch so far but here is what makes me upset. My dad and I have been throwing around the idea of getting a big fish tank. But I decided to get a tank that wasn't super expensive or big so I could experiment with live plants. This is where the first part comes in, my dad agreed to letting me get the 10 gallon from Craig's List, then after not getting any replies from the person and no real way to contact them besides Craig's list email, I decided to see if there was anything else on Craig's List and found the 30 gallon tank for $15 with a number to text or call, I told my dad and asked him if I could text them and see if they still had it. My dad said yes so I texted them. Then he says that I would have to get a stand for it, I start looking for a stand that would work. After I found a stand I told him that I found a stand that would work for the 30 gallon, he tells me I'm not getting a tank unless I have B's in both of my classes. WTF!!! I'm f-ing 19 years old! I don't need you to tell me I can't buy something if my grades aren't what you want them to be. I know how to be responsible and sh!t. He always does this, he says one thing making me think that I can do/get something then he changes his mind and denies that he ever said that in the first place. This happen every f-ing time I want to start a new project or get something that's part of my hobbies or that cost more than $5.

Having even just a little of your own money to do projects with really takes that sort of strain out of a parent-child relationship.

My mom's quite a bit like that, saying one thing, then "forgetting" she said that whenever she decides to change her mind, but I have whatever of my paycheck my mom doesn't use on bills to do whatever with. It ends up being 20 - 40 dollars a pay cycle, the other hundred and twenty we need to keep the household going, usually, but it does help ease the tension.

Of course she DOES have veto power over long-term projects involving pets, because if I get into Ritsumeikan, I'll be going to college in Japan in the fall and she doesn't want to be stuck taking care of an animal that was originally my responsibility but other than that, I have quite a bit of reign.

Ugh... Just got my first taste of people stealing my photos and not giving credit. Someone took a photo that I have only posted here on MN and reposted it without crediting me despite me saying that you are not allowed to use the picture under any circumstance without my consent in the caption box. Luckily Janele (introverting) had alerted me to it. When I asked where he got the photo and why he didn't credit me, all he did was comment back saying "Hey, I hope you don't mind me using your photo" Gr... whatever...
