Hello MerNetwork and all you lovely mermaids and mermen from the south of the Netherlands!

My name is Kelly or Mermaid Nyxe for you all, and my mermaid obsession is something relatively new.
I cannot remember a day that I did not want to became a marine biologist as a kid... I collected everything (! stuffed animals, figurines, posters, books) of whales, dolphins, fish.. practically all marine life. Ultimately life happend and I became a Biochemist and lost a little of the connection with marine life for a few years.

Now I am 26, turning on 27 and fell in love with mermaids and this community. I came back to it through my hobby Special FX Make-up and a specific mermaid photoshoot I did locally. Now I have been snooping around here for a little while, finally decided to create an account and kept stalking for a little while more - sorry. Now I'm ready to take te plunge.

In the meantime I've taken on freedive lessons (and passed my AIDA2* exam), bought a Finis Wave Monovin, created a lycre / organza mermaid tail and currently I am busy with a mermaid top. Also I kept doing Mermaid shoots and use silicone skin prosthetic gills or little skin like scale sheets for this. Ultimate goal would be a silicone mermaid tail :P

Yes! Made a pitstop in Nijmegen to get my Masters though.. Love it! Just realized yesterday that it is super early this year 😨 been spending all my time on tails, tops, scales and gills that I just now realized it is ONLY 3 WEEKS away and still need to start on a costume.. Help!
