    Yes it really was a perfect gift! She is my biggest fan and loves that I'm a mermaid, she always helps me with my mermaid projects and encourages my mermaid dream. She, my grandma(her mom), my aunt Beth, and Aunt Lorri all love me being a mermaid. They always are asking me about how it's coming along and when am I going to launch my children's mermaid party business.

    that's so cute! I love the concept! It looks like it would work for like a picture frame or a mirror's border or something just as well. allow me to casually add that to my list of things i tell myself i'll do someday but probably wont.

    Also. Momo. That is a gorgous yukata. I had an exchange student stay with me last year and she gave me hers complete with cheater obi, mainly because I think she resents ties to the cultural past. That reminds me. My school's Japanese program is having our yearly festival/donation drive/recruitment pitch next Saturday. I need to pull mine out of the ubiquitous costume bin if i want to avoid having to iron it. But anyway.

    Beautiful. The craftsman ship is really impressive.
