    Ive never seen the scales made separately and then put together, just the scale sheet molds. Can I ask how you are attaching them and what to? A backing, I assume....?

    They are attaching with silicone. I'm using swimsuit lining fabric as a backing. It's a way several mers have started making tails but most popularly and successfully Pearlie Mae! She's amazing! My friend Tam (Amelia pond) is also doing this method. She sat down for 3 hours at a Starbucks back in the fall as I gushed about how amazing Pearlie was and do's and don'ts of tails lol from my past experience.

    so on a non mermaid note I was Elsa for a birthday party with my friend Michela who I'm making the tail for. the children loved the Cape so much it was wonderful!

    Usually 5 hours but with some help from the sun and a blow dryer 20 to 25 minutes
