Buyer should press charges for fraud. I'm feeling betrayed by the seller even though I was not the one who bought from her. I remember we helped her when she asked questions and stuff, now she does this. I can't find the right word for it. Its just not right.

Her shop's back and she has a listing for a silicone mermaid tail again for someone named Mark who's on a payment plan. (Good luck to him....I hope the next one turns out better than the previous one!)

Urgh. Looks like she sold another tail to someone named Heidi. She favorited it so you can see her profile, so I think I may be contacting her. She looks like a legit user (unlike the fake accounts that "bought" her tails before). If Mark favorites it there may be a way to contact him. Looks like there's several new fake purchases for tails in her "bought" listings. More accounts with anime profile pics and no past activity on Etsy besides buying the listing. How is there no way to report this??

Looking back at the sales you can see evidence of more false advertising, this time using mertailor tails. Right now they're not even pictures OF silicone tails, just cg ones off the internet. Seriously why would you even bother at this point? She knows the mermaid community is out to get her.

Okay if you guys really want to help get this shop taken down, here's what you do. Take the images from her listings (any of them, most of them look stolen) and reverse image search them on google. Find the original copyright owner of the photo, contact them and let them know their photo has been stolen and is being used for etsy listings (which is fraud). Give them the links for all the listings that their photo(s) were used in, and also the link to report intellectual rights infringement (https://www.etsy.com/legal/ip/report). Go through the sold items too, not just the current listed ones. The more photos are reported the more it will be likely her shop will be removed. Let them know that at least one person has been verified as being scammed into buying a horrible looking, horrible quality item that didn't fit the photos (which were also stolen) and is struggling to get their money refunded. Let them know that if they follow through with reporting it will help others not get scammed.

Here's a sample letter:

"Greetings!

I'm contacting you because, unfortunately, your copyrighted photo is being used to sell fraudulent items on Etsy by a shop called StarSewnLLC (https://www.etsy.com/shop/StarSewnLLC). Your photo was used in the following listings:
(list specific URLs here).

You can report this to Etsy here (https://www.etsy.com/legal/ip/report) and your photos will be removed. If I made a mistake and you're not the copyright holder, but rather someone you know is (such as a friend or the photographer), please forward this message onto them.
At least one person has been verified as being scammed by this seller. They used other photos they did not own to sell an item (the buyer paid $1k for it) and received an item that was not what was shown in the photos on the listing. Instead said buyer received a horrible looking, incredibly low quality and non functioning item that was nothing like the photos shown, and is struggling to get a refund. I urge you to please report your photos, so Etsy will realize that this seller is being fraudulent with their listings, and no more people will get scammed by this seller.

If you could let me know if you were able to report the photos that would be very helpful. Thank you very much for your time!

I'd bet that if she gets enough of her photos reported for copyright infringement, Etsy will see she's not using her real photos for the majority of her listings and will remove her shop. Or if nothing else they should have some kind of strikes policy in place for copyright infringement that will warrant her shop's removal.

It may help here if you list what photos you've reported to the copyright holder so we can divide and conquer.
