Another magic trick: Wear a big, dark, patterned sundress you don't mind getting wet, and use it as a dressing tent. Dark patterns don't show what's going on underneath, and you can change clothes/tails without showing everyone your business!

Thats actually really smart! Since I dont wear dresses id have to go buy one but that's seriously an amazing idea!

Thongs ftw! I've just worn my thong when trying in the comfort of my kitchen lol but I was concerned that the people of Coeur d'Alene might not like my arse hanging out at the beach, even if it is a nice one lol

I have the same issue of butt-to-waist ratio and I've found with my FF tail that it's easier if I lube up my entire lower half, even just with sunscreen and water if I have nothing else on hand. I slip in a lot easier that way!

Yeah... Lube is definitely a must!

I first put mine on at merfest with a gouged finger all wrapped up and couldn't put it on all the way up and had to roll my eyes at a persistent commentor who kept saying it didn't fit. In reality once I got it down, the waist came up to my boobs lol

I remember that, your poor finger was all busted and even though you had said like 100 times that you couldn't get it up all the way due to that people still sat and hecked your videos about it... People are dumb.

Girrrrrrrrl, I feel you on the waist to butt ratio. It makes it so hard with the blended waist. I'm terrified of ripping it! My first swim in my tail showed a lot of my bikini bottom, so I'm feeling like I didn't get it all the way up as far as I could have as well. We are having similar issues for sure, and I'm sure with time and practice it will be smoother.

Right! I feel like I'm gunna rip my tail in half just to get the damn waist over my butt! Time for some new swim bottoms for me, because apparently swim shorts dont work so well, I guess its good thing they put out swim suits already

Since the top of my tail has to go over my head (halter top style), I use a button up dress, that way I can put my tail on over my dress and unbutton it to take it off without showing bewbies.

Also, inexpensive hair condition is my fave lube for tails!

Butt floss? NO THANKS. Side-tie bikini bottoms are my preferred bottoms!

I'm all about the butt floss lol mostly because other styles dont cover my rather large back end and ride up so I end up with butt floss anyways, so I just skip a step and start with butt floss

Just pick something that is biodegradable and labelled eco friendly. It stays in your tail for the most part anyway.

Coconut oil for me! Natural and harmless and a great moisturizer.

Seems like I'm the only one who can put on her tail dry! I have quite some space left on my but/waist area so I have quite some drag swimming in it. I'm still VERY careful every time. :angel:

I use Dawn dish soap (very effective degreaser, gets all the lube!) and a bath pouf...scrub it inside very thoroughly! Rinse with lots of clear water, then follow it up with an alcohol/disinfectant-wipe and dry with towels, then I put it on a tail stand and dry completely with a small fan!

Ughh...Small boob problems.

If anyone is looking for some good tight swim shorts you can actually buy volleyball shorts and use them as swim shorts. I was at Academy a few years ago and noticed the volleyball shorts were made with spandex and they had colorful prints on them as if they were swim shorts. I bought one and it has been like the best swim shorts I have ever had ever. I wear them just about every time I go swimming. They have also outlasted my other swimsuits. I should probably go back and buy some more. I just checked mine the brand is Mizuno.
