I don't have any photos to share (yet) but I'm wondering if any of you have worked with a photographer who's used a red filter while taking underwater photos? I hear it is supposed to take the bluish tone out of the photos and wanted to see if it actually works since I really want to capture the colors of my tail, hair, and makeup and not have it looked washed out. (I have a nice camera so I can try when I get home and let you all know my findings if no one has any examples already)

I have a red filter for my camera when I go diving. I only tend to use it in waters greater than 5m (~15') as that's when the red tones really start to fade.

Strong lighting. And color correction in post.
