Hi everyone! New mer in Northern Colorado, here! Super excited to discover this community, and this hobby in general. (I know a bunch of you do this professionally, but I'm terrible at monetizing things. I leave that to my business-minded friends and colleagues.)

My mername is Akula, and I am super fresh at this. I only discovered monofins a couple of months ago, bought one a few weeks ago, and made a slap-dash fabric skin for it last week. I am so hooked, so in love, and so wonderfully sore from a several-hour swim yesterday!

Not long after buying my monofin (from SunTails), I stumbled across this community and started looking through the Tailmaking section. I'm in. I don't have the space yet, but am hoping to move to a bigger place by the end of the year. When I have enough room to work, I want to start making a hybrid tail with a silicone fluke, just for my own use. I'm so excited to start experimenting, and I can't wait to show you what I come up with.
