    I don't have a drawing of my own to show you because I'm keeping this whole thing secret from my parents, which is difficult AF. But this is sort of what I'm doing.

    My legs would be hidden in the trailing, tissue-paper bit, and the body would be basically a smallish hoop skirt. I have no idea how I could keep up with regular fish merfolk or make the swimming motion look realistic (pls see my thread in tailmaking if you have ideas) but I'm really proud of the concept.

    If you actually choose this color, when people see you from the surface or at a distance underwater, you'll look naked!

    I know from experience as I have a pink scaled tail that blends very well with my skin tone.
