I love e600 glue!![]()

Wow! Your tail is looking really beautiful! I can't wait to see it finished!Keep up the great work!
I don't know this type of glue, where do you find it ? Your tail is wonderful !
You can find it in any craft store and I actually found it in Walmart, in the craft section.
Oh and I tried the E6000 glue on a scrap of neoprin...it's not completely dry yet but for some reason it's like weighing it down or something because it's creating deep like indents in my neoprin. I guess I have to keep sewing! Not that I mind terribly, I love the look ^.^
Mermaid Jewel
What I do is that I don't apply the glue to the fabric, instead I scoop the glue with a sequin and stick it on. That way you don't waste glue and the sequins bond better, I'm using lycra and I haven't had any problems with it.
I also used the glue for my latex tail to bond the neoprene seams.

I don't know if I'll find this type of glue in France, but I hope so :/
You could always buy it online! Just look up e 6000 on ebay or amazon![]()

Cut out my dorsal fin and I'm now covering it with liquid latex to get the rubbery texture and also stiffen and protect it.
I'm going for a butterfly koi look, since the tail will be featured in a bridal magazine issue I want it to be breathtaking in the water.

I think I'm in love with this tail, Ilonka.
Mermaid Dottie
ATTENTION: Please use extreme caution when feeding the mermaid. Failure to do so could result in loss of digits.
omg this is going to be soooooooo amazing when it's finished!
Your tail looks great! I can't wait to see it when it's done.
@Jewel: I would have personally stuffed the tail first before gluing on the sequins, especially on spandex, but I really hope this works out! Perhaps the glue will be flexible enough to accommodate the stretch.
That is a gorgeous pattern you are making, Ilonka! I really want to see how this works out. I was going to add sequins to my tail, but haven't decided how to yet (as in what pattern).
Sooo the latex idea on the thin shiny fabric didn't work too well, it made it shrivel up. Luckily I have tons more of this fabric cuz I loved it so much so I'm just going to have the fins made of the fabric by itself, which isent a problem cuz its so pretty anyways!
Besides that, I'm still gluing sequins one by one on the back and sides.

Cut out my new dorsal fin, the other one was ruined by the latex. This time I'm not going to cover it in latex, the fabric is too thin and shrivels up when the latex dries (latex shrinks a bit when it dries)
So this is how it looks so far in the back, I glued the dorsal fin down and did single stitches in a straight line down the certer as reinforcement. I'm using the glue and sequins to build a stiff base for the fin so it sticks up a bit instead of laying flat on the tail. Looks really cool

Looks great! If that fabric is what it looks like, it tends to fray. You may want to do something to minimize or stop that. Either by overlock stitch, french hem, or some kind of glue. They sell "Fray check" at fabric stores, but I'm not sure how waterproof it is.
