I did it, I was finally able to do it I just launched my kickstarter project and I wanted to share the link with everyone. My goal isn't too high and I know I can make it if everyone helps me out. Thank you Kalani! I may not be as great as the silicone tail makers, but making tails is an art, and all art is nothing but experimentation. Never perfected, as art is ever changing

I completely agree! Once i reel in a little bit more expirience, i myself hope to sell my neoprene tails, and then work my way up to latex of silicone. But now, i am fine with regular fabric. Great for beginners who want to become serious mers. But ill stop blabbering about my tails, this thread is shining on you and your sprouting buisness.

You'll be fine! Three days isnt very long, Lexia Im sure someone generous will come along and back you up! I really would if i could, but im broke and i dont exactly think my parents would approve LOL. In the mean time, find other money making options! Maybe garage sales, and to reel in a bit more, a bake sale to go along with! These aren't very creative, i understand, but maybe you can make jewerly, or mermaid accessories and sell them online? You could also use the spare money you have right now, and sell tails to distant friends (or close friends who would be willing to pay for them), and buy the materials on demand so you can make profit! I hope you take this into consideration! <3 >O"

Kalani~ I already do make mermaid jewelry. It's up in my Etsy. I haven't been able to add anything lately cause I spent all my time working on my tail and the kickstarter. Maybe I should dig in and get some more made. I am currently selling tails, but its one of those I have to buy the materials with each order, so it takes longer for me to get people their tails because I have to wait for materials to come in. Can't find neoprene anywhere locally, which majorly sucks.

Ok, so after a bit of "redneck" engineering, I now have a decent working space. It took a really big cardboard box, a roll of packing tape, a flimsy yard stick, and the stand for my electric keyboard... This is what I came up with. It even has a working florescent work lamp. Which is made from a cardboard box and one of those under the counter lamps I had from my old studio appt. I've got plenty of space and pushpins to hang completed work so I always know where it is, and so it doesn't get lost in my mess of a room. I have space to hang design ideas and custom orders as well. They will hang right over the work space on the wall. I may need to alter my lamp box just a bit and add an inch or 2 wide shade to the top of the box so I'm not getting blinded my the light. What do you guys think?

Keep your eyes open for construction jobs. Interior doors are thrown away and would be perfect for your spot. No heavy stuff as they are hollow.
