Thread: Duct tape

    Duct tape

I have made a monofin with tape and 2 fins. I have seen a tail made out of it (did not see anyone swim in it though). Any other uses?

Non mer use but it has been proven that if you get a cut....put a piece of duct tape on it and it will heal faster...

A monofin of mine from Magictail cracked after a really long time of use, so i taped up the crack. Still a bit floppy, but much more usable again! And ive seen that duct tape tail! Here is a YouTube link for you!

I'll bet there was a bunch of random passersby who were probably a little freaked out about all the commotion. xD

I am working on a temporary tail for a friend that consists of two flipper duct aped/e6000 glued together. It gives no propulsion but it looks really neat

could you use duct tape to make a leg cast/form and then fill it with somekind of foam?

Yeah, it's basically the same way you make a duct tape body form, I can post a pic of mine if you want except I stuffed my form with pillow stuffing instead of foam but foam would work too

I have a duct tape dummy of myself I'm using for a costume form (velociraptor! Think fursuit methods but without the fur) so I have something to model it while I cut the foam down and carve it.

Before I stuffed it with newspaper & plastic bags:

    After:

I have since had to restuff some places--mainly the knees and stomach, and basically add on more stuffing because as time goes on it kinda deflates. It's very cool!
