OMFG i would FREAK OUT. i'm like way too self-conscious as a mermaid. Its hard to be a mermaid as a teenager because ppl call you childish and weird.
Try being a 55 yr old over weight merman and not be selfconscious.

That awkward moment when your a landlocked mermaid that wants to swim so badly that you go outside in the 50 degree weather in your tail and play with a hose for a few hours while your neighbors watch skeptically. And then you realize that they're watching.

An awkward moment is when you are swimming at a local beach in your tail and you over hear a young boy tell his mother " MOM THAT IS A REAL MERMAID! " an relize that he was pointing to me when I was swimming.
