Hi there, my name is Blue!
I am about to embark on making my first silicone tail. But let me give you some background on the project first.
I am applying for Cinema Makeup School's Next Level of Cosplay scholarship. It's basically a contest for the best cosplay, whoever wins gets a $15,000 scholarship and a 6 month paid internship. This is a big deal for me because this is the school of my dreams and cosplaying is a major hobby of mine.
After looking at the other applicant's submissions I wanted to do something bigger and bolder, something that would stand out.
So, I chose Nami the mermaid from League of Legends! For those of you that don't know, characters in the game can use custom skins, this changes their appearance. To up the wow factor I will also be creating an original skin for my design, which I like to call, Arctic Nami (inspired by the Arctic Ocean). I plan on using a lot of white and cool pastels for my color palette.
I will be creating;
A silicone tail
A scale top
A headpiece
Gloves
Small armor plates
And a neckpiece
The deadline is April 2016, It's a difficult project but I'm up to the challenge!
