Okay I've never posted on this thread yet, and I don't usually most often because I feel people will get annoyed...So I'll give it a go. These are the things that have been annoying me heaps lately:
    1. The neighbours next door that come down for Christmas holidays. They're a couple who let daughters come down with their husbands and millions of super loud screaming, crying stupid kids every single Christmas. They stay for weeks on end through January. Almost every single day my family and I are woken up by the little monsters of kids jumping on the trampoline. They somehow always manage to hurt themselves then start crying at the top of their lungs, which drives me absolutely nuts (since I severely hate kids, even though I'm a teenager). Thing is, the parents never tell them to be quiet, but they're always there to sook over them when the kids hurt themselves. It's like they're too busy inside talking (which they probably are). I swear, every time these people come down to the coast to stay, they keep having more kids. It's a freaking epidemic! Every since I was a little kid, I remember these bastards coming down and ruining the nice peace and quiet for about a month each year. Because I live in a court, you can hear everything that goes on around you. Stuff just echoes. But this is just the worse family out of all of them. Nearly everyone in our court has their family down for the holidays. Basically as I've gotten older, the Christmas/New Year's crowds just piss me off more and more each year. The beaches are crowded as hell, supermarkets, shopping centres, swimming pools, roads, you freaking name it. You have to stay inside pretty much all day to stay away from the crowds. This is what it's like living near the beach in Australia in the festive season. -facepalm-.

    2. People telling me I can't do stuff that I have my mind set on. "Pfft, mermaids are stupid!", "Haha, you want a mermaid tail?! That's so gay." "You'd probably just drown in one", "Sometimes you just can't always get what you want", "Oh my God Anna, why the hell would you want to be a mermaid?! That's for little kids. They're lame as!" "You're just gonna waste your life", "It's just a phase. If she ever actually got one, she'd use it a few times then get sick of it and never use it again." "You'll never make enough money out of that!", "$3000 is a lot of money, sweetie.", "Sometimes you just can't get all the things that you really want".
Thanks for trying to ruin my dreams. I never did that to you when you were starting up your businesses, and I don't say the dreams you want to accomplish are never going to happen!! Why? Because nothing is impossible. If others can do it, I can too. I'm saving my money. I want to get a job. It's not like I'm asking you to spend YOUR money! Why can't I have some control over what I do in my life, instead of being told what to do all the time? I'm not a little kid anymore! Can you not imagine me growing up and having my own life? Well I'll tell you this. I've never know what I wanted to do when I grow up until 8 or so months ago. It seems way out there, but at least I know what I want to do. I don't want to go to Uni and get a degree in whatever, I don't want a normal job like everyone else and one thing I've always been sure of was that I never did! You know I'm weird, stop denying it.
The Internet is really the only place I feel accepted. You can connect with like-minded people and not have to be judged on your interests. Yet they still wonder and complain why I use my computer so much...
So enough with the rude, snide and patronizing comments and let me be who I want to be.

~Sorry about the long rants. These things have been bugging me for so long and I needed to get them off my chest. I just feel down lately.

Aww, Anna. *gives virtual cookies* I know what you mean. Sometimes things just build and build and you just have to get them out. Journaling works okay, but sometimes since you're the only one who sees it and you're already stewing about it...it's ineffective. I'm so glad this forum has a place for us to vent.

As for the mermaid naysayers, it does make life difficult. "Mermaid" isn't usually on the mundane job-list. But if this is your dream, go for it and show them how awesome you are! PS what kind of tail do you plan to get?

I'm a gentle soul (as anyone who knows me will attest) and even when I'm annoyed with someone I do my best to be kind or state that I don't agree kindly. I'm sick of hearing: "Fine! I just won't be your friend!" "Fine! I'm leaving the community!" "Fine! I might as well just live alone!" "Well, I'll just never ___________ again!" Thing is, if they would, my life would be a lot less complicated. I wouldn't have to worry about the next backlash for me or for my friend who doesn't agree with them.

I don't agree with you. Get over it. We can have different opinions, life can go on.

I used to be the one who would run after them and try to make amends, but I've done that too much. I've learned that they're NOT really going to leave/never ______/live alone, they're just hurt and want the attention. They want people to apologize to them. And I'm not going to apologize for not agreeing.

    *HUGS*
I know exactly what your talking about.
It was all a bit over the top and just looked like a reason to throw a hissy fit if you ask me.
I deal with this too much in life to have to come on here and deal with it all again Some people just seem to need that attention whether it's good attention or bad attention
Don't let it get you down

Nawh, thanks xD ~dips cookies in tea~. I want to be a mermaid performer like Mermaid Melissa... -blush-. I know it sounds really 'out there', but I want to get a Merbellas performance tail. I'm old enough to get job now and I want to make it happen. Don't usually make New Year's resolutions but I think this is it. A kid I know worked pretty much every week and earned $1000 from washing dishes! Haha.

LOL it doesn't sound out there to me, Anna. My merbella's performance tail should be here in March, if all goes well. I totally understand wanting one, they're GORGEOUS! Save up, it's a long process and sometimes you want to SCREAM with impatience (especially when you see the lovely goodies on her Facebook, lol) but it's definitely possible, eventually. I'd love to be a mermaid performer, mostly with kids because I love interacting with them. I'm afraid I'm not enough of a publicist or swimmer to ever be up to Melissa's level, and I'm not much of an activist...but I love to do this and I'll keep on. ;-)

    B!TC# IT OUT!

Another mini-frustration: I need Ambien so my brain will shut off at night. It's a lot better than staying up hours trying to get to sleep. But I don't like some of the side effects. Some are fun in a dizzying sort of way...but the side effect I hate worst is that I buy at least one dumb iPhone app each time I take the meds, and I usually don't remember anything about it in the morning. It's not a big thing, but it's concerning that. I'm spending money asleep. :-S

It got cancelled due to the fact that there are 30km winds where we where go to, (they don't go over 15km winds)

Thalassa, I take Elavil for my bladder illness, ADHD, and insomnia. I love it because it helps with all those things as well as anxiety and pain. BUT it makes me dizzy like I'm drunk! There are actual times in the day where I turn to my boyfriend and say, "I feel drunk" because the dizziness and motion blur gets that bad. I've tried fiddling with the dosage with no real lessening of the effects. But it helps with way too many things for me to not take it! SO I GET THAT! I hate that drugs have sooo many side effects

Ok. so chinese new year is rolling around sooner than i had hoped.

what urks me every year is that children demand "lucky money" from the elders, without wishing them good health/prosperity/luck/lots of love for the new year. call me old fashioned but you gotta earn that money, not demand it. :| also its hella disrespectful. (traditionally you always have to wish them with SOMETHING before you even get the money, otherwise you dont receive it at all)

what also urks me is that every year i go to a vietnamese festival to celebrate chinese new year. Harper (our lousy prime minister) issues "red pockets/envelopes" with chocolate candy inside and a nice laminated card with him and his family wishing us for a prosperous/happy/blahblah new year.

seriously? thats what my tax money is being put into? i get that he's being nice to our people BUT! THAT'S NOT NECESSARY. you want us to believe you're a good prime minister you've got to show it. protect our land! don't bribe us with twodollar chocolate candies from the dollarstore!

    RAGE.

i also hate it when some parents take your money :\ come on, you already GET money from working. i feel so bad for the kid. it happened to my boyfriend when he was a kid. every year his parents would take his money when he was supposed to keep it but he didnt know. when he found out in his midteens he had a "beach-fit." he earned that money! it was rightfully his!

or when parents take their kids money in general (money earned from work and saved up).

    RAGE.

My brother is AAARGHGJTIEIEFNFNEHGGHR!!!!!!!! He's just so inconsiderate and rude and loud and obnoxious and pushy! he is NEVER wrong, allowed to do whatever he wants, doesn't have to listen to anyone because it's just not worth his time, and he NEVER knocks when entering my room! AND when he does knock, he knocks and walks right in, door shut or not. he never shuts the shower curtain or bathroom door when showering, or peeing so I have to keep my eyes averted EVERY time I walk pass the bathroom and he's in there. I was taking a nap on the way home from work and my mother says my name to wake me up, AND HE KICKS THE BACK OF MY SEAT! Now normally, I would just yell and leave it at that. but when he hit my seat, he broke my newly made star fish headband! and then had the gall to say 'it was a weak headband. I didn't break it'. I wanted to slap him but I didn't for fear I would kill him!!!!! he's just so AALFIFNGKDNTGIRTJRNFNJE! and then while I'm trying to fix my headband he walks in (no knocking) and asks a favor of me! and he still didn't even acknowledge that he broke my headband that I worked hard on! I can't believe him sometimes! and I absolutely HATE it when my family treats me like I'm an idiot! like my mom tells me the same thing over and over because I 'might have missed it' or didn't know to start with. I wasn't ignoring you and I'm not stupid, so stop treating me like I'm an invalid. I just get so tired of being treated like I'm too young, too small, too old, too naīve, too smart, too dumb, too this, too that, for EVERYTHING! they remind me how to drive everytime I go home from work, to work, to the store, or anywhere! angry rant over. thank you for your attention. go back to your daily lives (waves hand like Obi Wan)
    Hugs, fishes, and mermaid kisses!

Ouch, that's annoying. I would say that it's time to move out so you can show them you can take care of yourself. I don't know your situation though, so you might well not be able too. As for your door problem, can't you lock your door?
I couldn't look my door at home when I lived with my parents, but I took the door handle off so they weren't able to enter it :P

Just to add to the J.W post i made. I spoke to my friend today and she has two kids. The doorbell rand and a couple of j.w's at the door and her little ones ran towarfsthe door as she opened it. So as she turned towards the kids and bent down facing her kids to stop them from getting out, she let out a rip roaring fart in their direction. I thought this was highly hilarious. Needless to say i think they were just as embarrassed as her.

Moral of the story - flatulence is the key. No words need to be spoken lololol

so my hubby found out today that his bosses are not happy with his lateness and calling out sick too often. he told me before that his boss was pretty relaxed about when he had to be there, but I had a nagging feeling that maybe he shouldn't use that too often.
It sounds like they want to fire him. They said if he shows up late, takes too long at lunch, or calls out within the next six months, he'll be out. He's pretty shaken up about it.

I think the whole situation is a bit strange, and probably due to the president pressuring his boss. He works as the only programmer for a brick company, and the board is made up of a bunch of older gentlemen who don't like this "newfangled internet stuff", and probably don't care so much about his abilities. Maybe he misread his boss's cues. I don't know why all of the sudden they would be making a big deal out of something that wasn't considered a problem before.

In any case, I'm going to be making him get up on time from now on and making him go to work, seeing as I can't trust him to feel these situations out for himself like I thought he could. I don't have a steady job, but I substitute teach, and can get another sub job at another county as well. We have family we could live with in a pinch, and he can probably get his Costco job back too. It's scary though. I don't want him to end his first professional job on such a poor note.

I know everything will work out on the long run, and it could be way worse, but I'm a little scared.

My door slides, no handle. And my family doesn't believe in locking doors in the house in case of an emergency we have to be able to reach each other. A locked door stands in the way.

Ok, so I've had this on my mind for a while, and I need to get it out there. I HATE how people think that men are the superior sex. I just HATE IT. I hate how people say that "God" is a man. WHY SHOULD IT BE A MAN? Why not a woman? Where did people get the idea that men should rule in the first place? I mean, sure, they can be naturally physically stronger than women, but, now I'm not saying that men are stupid or anything, but women can be mentally stronger than men most of the time. Not all men, but most think that women are mentally weaker because women can be very emotional. But that does NOT make us weaker! I also hate how there are NO female religious leaders at all! So far, they have ALL been men! and why hasn't there been a female president in America yet? I just don't get it! I swear, when I turn 35, I am running for president and no one can talk me out of it! HA! I would also LOVE to see women stand up to men one day. We are strong and powerful and we should show those men who think that they rule who's boss!
