Never have, because when I had the money I thought it was close enough to the upper limit of her production time not to worry about it. Maybe I should've rushed it, in retrospect...
(Still not shipped...gyah.) Which do you think is worse: waiting for pictures, or having pictures and waiting for it to arrive?
Waiting for it to arrive in your case, since you're just waiting on fins, I think.

I think waiting for shipping would be worse. Knowing that it's all done and ready... yet still not shipped would drive me insane!! xD Here's hoping that you all get your tails in time. <3 I'm still waiting for mine.
I recently got contacted by my Renfair guild asking if I'd be able to do an event in the middle/end of may. I have them on hold still trying to figure out if I get my tail in time or not since I had to cancel my previous event... *Bites nails*
Okay guys so my 120 days is past (only by 2 daysish) and I haven't gotten pictures yet, when did you guys get your pictures and has anyone heard from Raven? I know she's really busy
Yeah, she's crazy busy right now. :\ Everyone's orders are being a little bit overdue, but I'm sure she'll be back on track pretty soon enough.
I got my pictures at about 139 days. Now I'm waiting for shipping (which she said was going to occur Friday...*sigh*). You'll get your pictures eventually, and they'll be gorgeous. I know it's hard to wait, but hang in there. She's got a lot going on with all of her events and orders.
I know I feel like I've been waiting forever! I paid in late August or early September but waited a while to send my measurements :P I want to see my tail
When did you guys get a day estimate? or were you just counting the 90-120 days she gives?

Remember how I always get that insider information...? XD lol I know Raven is working her tail off literally! She's soooo close! And I am so stoaked for all of you because sometimes I get to see stuff before it gets sent/posted for a second opinion or something (she's a crazy perfectionist!) so she can make sure it's perfect and make clients super happy. I checked in with her on Monday to see how she was fairing with all the work and she's great now that the ren stuff is done with

Raina: I'm so glad she's not still trying to do ren faire and everything else (that's she's done with that for a bit, lol). I know that must have been super hard and stressful on her!
I'm afraid I haven't helped, I've been a terrible nag. :-S I feel bad when I email her, but I'm just so darned anxious that I have my tail before the annual Ren Faire...
Thanks for being anxious with me, lol. My mertender is, too. So are my coworkers (non-mer). Funny story: One of my coworkers is expecting...VERY. Like, any-day-now expecting. But she's still working because she wants to get her kids through end-of-year testing. So, she comes in from a doctor's appointment, and tells us she might have pre-eclampsia (sp? mommy high blood pressure, pretty scary stuff) and is really due. I said, "Aren't you worried?" And she goes, "Enough about that! I'm fine, have you heard anything about your TAIL?" I looked at her, and she says, "Yeah, I'm almost more worried about that!" I had to laugh. Everyone around me knows how excited I am for this tail.I'm afraid I've bubbled over with enthusiasm a few times. ;-)

Anyone know how many tails she takes on at once? I'm mostly just curious, haha. Seems like it's something like 5 realistic tails and 5 performance? Just guesstimating by how many people currently have orders in :b
MerEmma, I don't think there's an exact number. Smart idea though hehe
Thalassa don't feel bad about asking, I think people pay all that money they want to know... it just gets hard to answer and give updates all the time with many tails and clients on the go and the emails... oh good lord the emails....
I'm preparing to send my tail in May to be taken in- which means I'll also get a handy dandy dorsal fringe! Eeee
