I'm making a silicone tail and I was pondering a new tail making concept. (Might not be new but idk lol). What if I poured a flat sheet of silicone and individually gllued silicone scales on? It would take a while but I think it might work.

That's what i do.Looks better.Takes forever to make, but i like to mold scales.Cutting isn't that bad,but making each sheet the same thickness will be important.A few girls called it the "Odette" method.I like the way it feels better than a sheet of scales. They bunch up just like fabric does, but my scales retract into each other. That's why i enjoy my method better though it is a bit faster to make a sheet. The sheet or a straight up mold from your legs method is good in the sense that you won't get sand or pond scum in between scales but when i do it comes out easy. There are pros and cons to every tail.
