    GoGetFunding: Mermaid tail

    Hi everyone!
I'm new here. My name is Anni, I'm from Finland and this is my first post!

I wanted to share the following with you hoping if you could help me or direct me to someone who can help.
This is my mission for silicone tail so I can get my mermaid-career going. I'm saving like crazy for it atm but donations are still more than welcome.

Pls share if you feel so thank you!

As most of us are saving for our own tails it may be hard finding anyone here with money to donate. You'd probably have better luck fundraising outside the mer community. If you are looking to go professional, see if you can get any assistance for small or independent businesses. Maybe look into the art community as well. Also, it's important to tell people exactly what you will be doing with this tail and how it's a job. Market yourself! Why should they support you? Do they get anything out of it? Maybe you could team up with a photographer and send people who donate photos of you in your new tail, swimming and working with kids.

I agree with Mary- you're probably not going to have much luck here. I checked out your link and read your intro, and I have to tell you, if getting a steady job as a professional mer is actually your goal here, you might be very disappointed with the results you get in FINDING said job after you have spent over 3000 for a tail. Lots of places will tell you they are interested in hiring you, but it never pans out. Best of luck to you.

Also if you are just starting out who is to say you need a 2000 euro tail to begin with anyway? Why not try a cheaper option with a fabric tail or a latex tail? I am starting off myself and I am working my way up to getting a professional tail made but I have learned so much in the ways of how to react with children and actually swimming and performing as a mermaid without spending thousands of pounds on a costume. Do some more research and shop around there are loads of tail makers out there that make make you a beautiful tail for a fraction of a a full silicone tail. One you have yourself established and start earning money from parties etc you can star saving for a top of the range tail! Good Luck!
