Omg my god! Thanks everyone I could've have finished this without all your support!<3 I've seen that article. The clay does smooth, it just takes more time.
Yes if you trace your symmetrical fluke shape on wood, you can just pour the clay right on. I would keep a blowdryer on so it doesn't dry, it will get out of it's liquid stage really quick! I also used a putty knife (found at home depot) to spread it around. Thanks Shymer! I will keep it to remember this experience and what I have accomplished at this age.
