You're not using the normal viewer, are you?
Because the official one doesn't allow you to start it/login twice.
yes I have all my old stuff back. You can sign on 2 accounts at the same time. I looked it up online.
Go to ME in menu then PREFERENCES then ADVANCED then check box for Allow multiple viewers.
You sign on one account. Then you go to start and open another incident of second life and sign on your other avatar... Voila!

@Ariel; it's not that difficult to make your own avatar, only you know how you want it to look anyway.
The rest (picking up a decent skin, hair, and ao) can be done once you're past the first initial customization.

I used to work selling sims on sl. It was typical for agents to have one account for work and another for their own pleasure.
Your horse looks a tad out of place.

I have an SL account. I haven't been on it in quite a while. I got it back when I was 13 and met up with some other kids my age. We found this sort of family like setting and they made sure we were in appropriate areas since having an account then at that age wasn't allowed. I stopped playing because I had school to focus on, it's been a while, but seeing this thread reminded me of it

Unless you are a builder constantly busy with your projects, or working on some grand plan, SL should be used to meet people, talk, and have fun,
otherwise, it gets old fast
I used to be a builder. Sort of. I at least knew how to build. But since I haven't been on in a while, the new UI is a bit confusing. I'll probably use Phoenix instead, it uses the old UI that SL used to have before they "upgraded".Definitely!

Feels bad to not be able to give a tip at the parties too, but I -really- don't have anything left, lol.
I found a huge store where in one corner, mer animations were sold!
There were beautiful dances, even a danceball, and some mer-mer cuddle anims
I'd so get me some of those dances or a HUD if I could.
One word of warning:
Lately, there has sprung up a new species of griefer in SL, the so-called crashspammers.
They use a malicious script which acts similar to a trojan and will log you out/crash your pc, and they flock to populated areas, especially gatherings and parties.
If you repeatedly freeze and crash, and cannot connect to the SL website afterward while everything else on the internet works just fine, it's likely you encountered one.
I had some serious problems with that because there is a crashspammer repeatedly visiting the twomoons events where I used to hang out.
