I had some friends raving about a super cheap monofin at our Target. I bet this is what they were talking about. If they are selling these near me, I'm going to make a point of educating my friends with kids so that none of them make the deadly mistake of buying one of these.
I've.. seen the Aquarius sold at Target before, but I guess Target decided they were no longer going to outsource and put the funds in to officially verified usable monofins in favor of cheaper costs to profit ratio.
I'm told these are tiny. Like toddler size. So good luck to anyone using them. They are also selling knock off shark fins are hollow plastic. I have yet to find these and examine them myself (I need to go to the Target she found them at).
hahaha those are def the sketchiest I have ever seen lmao they aren't even trying!
OMGoodness I can just see all the pools (who allow mermaids) closing their doors to us Mers, because of the irresponsible parents who are going to buy those for their little children. I mean look at the age that they deem acceptable. 5 years old! NOT SAFE!
OOOF. I heard about these and had to educate my friends with kids
This looks like a cheap small dust pan with a "fin" hastily attached to it to make a new product. How did this get green lit as a product for children in the water?!

I'd like to hear from the person ordering for Target on why they thought these where a good idea. I want to try one of these "monofins" out but I also don't want to encourage and give target $5 either.

I'd want one just to own lol anything mermaid, right all?

I would never take the product seriously, but I'd own it for a doll or just to have and never use. Or to play pretend dry with a child or such. Nothing serious, but I'm sure it could have a craft use or something. As long as common sense was used. It looks tiny really

I went to see it in merson today. No warnings. No instructions. It is super flimsy and floppy. It has one big pocket to put your (meaning small child because no one else will fit) feet.
I love the idea of using it for a doll tho.
Cool that you saw it I will look out myself! I have an American girl I'd like to make into an American mer lol!
I never took it seriously as a product to use... But it still might be able to provide some fun somehow.

yeah they've been selling those in 'bullseye's playground' (the dollar section) ever since they started carrying the kids Finis mermaid monofin
