Thread: Thoughts on swimming in the Hudson River?

Thoughts on swimming in the Hudson River?

I live 5 minutes away from the water, but it's the Hudson... And in my area, it is NASTY. Once I get a tail, I would like to think that the river could be my place for mermaiding, but it's pretty dirty and I don't know if it'd be a good idea to swim in there at all, let alone as a mermaid.
Does anyone else live along the Hudson? Is it safe to swim in?

Think of the positive; you could mutate into an actual mermaid.

Sounds like a horrible idea lol. I'm near the Hudson too, I can see it from my window.
I had an ex who jumped in for $4 measly dollars once. He came out fine, but I still wouldn't suggest it lol.

The real question is would you feel safe jeopardizing your tail?

I am not sure about that. I have never seen the Hudson, but I live near the Ohio River, and am afraid to go past my ankles!

Is it as yucky as ours? D: I don't blame you for not going in.
