@Joy.. Glad you liked. Took me a while to hand color that print. It is a one of a kind. Specially colored just for you. Just an FYI on the print. It is hand inked and rolled through a press. The etching process is called aquatint. Lengthy process that involves acid baths an such. Your print was hand painted with watercolors. :D Lots of love went into it.

So today I decided I was gonna do some yoga. So I finally opened up the yoga mat Malinghi so sweetly got me and LOOK. AT. THIS. MASTERPIECE.

As promised, pictures of Hyli's gorgeous gift! A stunning hand-drawn kraken journal (which I have already started to fill with mermaid-y things!) and Ingo. I mentioned in my about me paragraph that I hadn't really read any mermaid books, so I was excited to read the one that everyone keeps talking about. I started it yesterday morning on the train, and finished it that evening. I really enjoyed it :) I do wish I had read it as a child, because the writing itself has aspects that really remind me I'm reading a book written for kids and I think I would have enjoyed it more back then, but I still enjoyed it and I loved the underwater world from a mer's perspective. I definitely plan on reading the others in the series!

Blondie, I'm so glad you like it! I had a lot of fun making it. I'm a little concerned that the sharpie will rub off with use though. I hope you won't be disappointed if it does.

Also I wanted to post in here to thank my secret santa, who got me this paper art of a merman, and this awesome pouch! I've been using the merman as a bookmark, and I'm using the pouch to hold sea shells. The shell on the left in the photos was actually part of the secret santa gift I got last year.

I didn't get a gift, it seems... I kept thinking that maybe it was just delayed, or was sent out late, but considering it's now Jan. 6 I doubt that either of those is the case. :(

Also, I haven't heard from my secret santa, although apparently it was delivered. I feel guilty though because my gift wasn't nearly as creative or valuable as the ones that a lot of other people did. I really hope that my secret santa wasn't so disappointed with my gift that s/he simply didn't bother to contact me! :doh:

So I got 2 more gifts! One from Jason Darling and one from Jessica! The one from Jason is an awesome sticker of a mer-momma and her baby! So cute!

And from Jessica, I got a super cute silicone scale bracelet with a seahorse made of silicone! I love it! It fits perfectly and I'll take pictures later. It's pink scales with a blue seahorse to match my hair (though my hair isn't blue and pink anymore! It's green now! I need to update that picture!) <3 THANK YOU SO MUCH!
