That awkward moment when you just got done with a swim and are still in your tail, go to take the boat back to the dock and the engine stalls and, as a mermaid, you are trying to restart it and people are watching.

That awkward moment when you're swimming in the school pool and come up for air and see a bunch of evil little munchkins (pardon me, children) watching you with awe so you have to pull out your bubbly mermaid persona just for them.
Happened to me when I was a freshman in college!!!
That awkward moment when kids won't stop splashing you from all directions, you're facing the wrong way to splash them with your tail, and you seriously wonder if it's possible to drown by splashing. (Also known as the time you wish you still had a mer-tender ;-) )

That awkward moment and you and some friends get a bucket of KFC chicken and decide to go the beach for the day. Then shortly after arriving get attacked by an entire flock of seagulls that chase you down the beach while their bird buddies make off with all of ur chicken. I have hated birds ever since.

that awkward moment when you let some friends try on your old tails but they can't swim so you half drown yourself in your own tail to keep their heads above water while they try to take off the tails. the awkward moment when your mom asks why you're crying, so log on to Merbellas facebook and show her the tails, to which she replies ," don't worry, you might get one someday" and then you show her the price and she pats you on the back and says, "Well, keep dreaming"

That ackward moment your cat thinks that your tail is a nice tunnel to run through. So happy he used my thick neoprene tail, no harm done, just a static kitty at the end of the tunnel :lol:
That awkward moment when your swimming at the ymca in your tail and your ex-girlfriend walks in and proceeds to say "oh, you're still playing mermaid" and you screech "BITCH WHO THE HELL IS PLAYING?!" at the top of your lungs because you forgot you were in public. :$
...needless to say, my best friend just sort of sunk under the water and tried to make herself invisible, rofl.

I didn't care to pursue that conversation, i dove into the water with a splash.
