I had the day off today. I spent it drinking tea and working on my business plan. I ALSO found a very promising looking mentorship program that, for once, isn't directed only at people aged <29.
Now I shall finish my tea and go for a swim. Yay!

I'm all excited for a swim happening next week!
Last month, with encouragement from Mermaid Atlantis, I decided to organize a mermaid swim in San Jose and we'll have around 10+ mers attending.
The San Jose State University pool I swim at regularly, is perfect and open to the public (and huge!).
When I first got the ball rolling on organizing this meet up, I wanted to be sure that mermaid tails were going to be allowed at the pool. I found out that not only is the manager of the SJSU Aquatic Center ok with mermaids in the pool, but she may want to try swimming in a tail herself!
It's a big plus when the people in charge want to join in on the fun :D

I finally got tired of my finfun monofin, so my happy thread contribution is that I ordered the Finis Aquarius as an upgrade. It'll do until I can get a rapid. <3

I'm trying to teach my two-year-old to say "mermaid", but she insists it's "Mommy" when I point at pictures of mermaids. I'm content to let her keep thinking that. ;)
