That Awkward Moment When: Mermaid Edtion!

This may not be kinda awkward . But when swimming in your tail for a few hours at a local outside pool an children are all around you. You have to get out when it starts to thunder an lightning. So I was walking back to my truck an one of the children was almost beside me ( she didn't see my change out of my tail) She kept looking at my leggs an my face. Then I smiled at her an then she said " OH !! YOU REALLY DO HAVE LEGGS !!." Her mother an I looked at each other an I , an she an I just busted out laughing so hard our bellies hurt.

That awkward moment when you take your kilt off and dawn a beautiful tail and then jump in the pool.

I've had an awkward moment holding a tail while talking to cops, and an HOA associate, when my car was about to be towed. We were meeting at an apartment complex with a pool, for a mer-meet. I was staying at my friend's house that night, and she was at work that night, so she wanted me to take her tail back to her place... I bet the cop was thinking, "what the hell is this girl holding? It looks kind of fishy to me." Lol :-p

That awkward moment when your mother looks over your shoulder while you're reading about sex toy cleaner [to clean tails], and she describes what she thinks the whole situation of going to an adult store and requesting sex toy cleaner in bulk would be like:doh:

That awkward moment when you've loved every update on your new tail, and then your new update comes after your tailmaker spent hours doing something...and you hate it. And then the body needs to be repainted.

Hahaha... I so know what you mean! At Weeki Wachee ... during shows, we fed the fish! We took our masks off and smiled pretty for the audience while the voracious fishies (Brem) would have their lunch. The fish knew from the music in the show, when fish feeding time came, and they came out of every nook and crannie for the feast! Before the show, we'd roll white bread into wax paper tubes (about 2-3 inches long), to hold and use our thumb to flick the soaked bread into pieces. Even turtles came for the taking! And you know how blurry looking at anything underwater is! Some of the fishies didn't know when the feast was over and they would nip you! That wasn't fun. But it was common the fish would swim into your face, and it does scare you momentarily... we didn't have the luxery of leaving... so we endured! Thanks for bringing it up... fond memories!

That is adorable. <3 I love the idea of sleey fish hanging out in nooks and crannies and then the sudden awakening of "Lunchtime!"

Awkward mermaid moment: walking by the wetsuit repair place and seeing a tail through the window, on the counter waiting for something, and when you lift your child so she can see and people look at you funny because they simply DO NOT get it.

That moment you can't get out of your tail because there is a knot in the string that keeps your tail close around your middle. Luckily one of the pool staff was able to get the knot out. My bro, who was with me, had to laugh about it "a stranded mermaid"

I guess I'm lucky then, my Husband is totally on board with my love of all things mythical and supernatural. We always say that he's a werewolf and I'm a vampire and our children will be unstoppable hybrids lol

tried out google's version of Suri. I asked it to "set reminder to pack mermaid things on Friday morning" it saved, "set reminder Tupac mermaid sightings, friday morning!" LOL

YES!! I am a very busty Mer and trying to find bathing suit tops that fit me is torture! I would probably have more fun trying to poke my eye out with a spork! My husband does not want me to wear a shell bra when I start mermaiding for events because of that fact lol so i'll probably go with a silicone merbellas seaweed top or something similar :)
